How come? Russia made it public when some reporters from magazines were killed execution style. Russia made it clear that they arrested Kasparov at an activist demonstration. Everything they do is clear and outspoken. Instead, US police beat up protesters, beat and arrest reporters, at the RNC and DNC conventions then, nothing on the news. Get real, at least Russia doesn't pretend to be what it's not! And doesn't attack countries under the false flag of democracy and freedom!

The better course of action would have been for Russia not to arrest Garry Kasparov who is not killing reporters, as far as I am aware, in order to advance his party's agenda. The actions surrounding the RNC ad DNC events are troubling in principle, but in principle they are also private events not subject to public intervention as freedom of expression advocates incorrectly proclaim and dangerous radicals cynically exploit.
