@Ellersiek The oil works well.I have found that if you half fill the bowl and then put a drop of oil in it,then continue to fill it up,as long as you turn the fan on straight away the oil doesn't have a chance to run down against the flow of wind.

@Ipsissimiss I can get 3 bags when setting temp at 180c. And 1 more at 200c... i don't like to go above that....I let it warm up for around 2 mins or so to get a good vape after first turning it on. After that as soon as you load it's ready to go..I don't have this model...I have the Extreme Q, it's slightly shorter than this one..

Yeah I know, I only put it that high when I wanna revape and the (legal) herb is really dry. It turns out that the problem was with the power adapter. I was sent a new one along with new screens. I cant complain this machine works really good and Im happy with the customer service I received .
@Monstraso Sorry to hear that but there is either a short or the regulator is broken inside. Depending on when you got it you might be able to get another one. I love mine. Also never leave it on overnight.

Only if you use very high grade cannabis, such as Kush or some Sativa dominant strain, or just strain with a high THC concentration. If you're gonna use chinabud then its nothing really big. Either way its better than smoking and the smell is basically unnoticeable.

i do have one and they are great. i load the bowl and set it for 400F. it only takes about a minute to heat up to 400. then i give it about 2 or 3 minutes to warm up the bowl and it's good to go. you can use it after it reaches your temp, but if you wait a couple of minutes, you will get some nice thick vapor.
really how come. iv tried the volcano and ist the shit. Theres only one draw back and that is that its to big. never tried the extreme but want one thought
The Volcano is top notch, don't get me wrong. As far as "class" goes, it is the Pinot Gris of the crop (if you are a wine fan, you'd understand the reference.) The Volcano has a switch for the heating element, and a switch for the fan.
The Extreme has a three speed variable fan. One thing I would say I don't like about it is the digital read out, and that is because years ago I had a vaporizer with the LCD read out, and it crapped out.
Alright, I've been vaping on and off with this thing for the last 48 hrs, and have to say it's the business. Both whip and bag work well.
Only thing is, the temperature on the LCD screen isn't - as you may know - that in the bowl, but that of the heating element. The bowl itself will be a lot cooler, so you'll have to adjust the temp accordingly. So, you can't just dial in the proper vape temp, there's some trial and error involved.
I get good bags at 250C (480 F) but what do others use?
I don't have this model but i run mine at 347f to 357f. Any thing higher and i run the risk of burning the plant matter. I use bags and can run 2 bags about 2 ft long, per disk used.
I've read that too and mine is the most recent model, but I still pre-heat mine for 15 min so the glass bowl has time to warm up. If I don't the first bag will be very light.

I actually wanted this for the balloon feature, which works well, but now I know how chilled out the whip is, I think I may be using that a bit more when I'm by myself, and save the balloons for company.
Only thing is, when I'm filling a balloon I clearly smell vapor, making me think there is some leaking out. The bag itself has no punctures, but I'm thinking I didn't put the mouthpice on quite right. I'm at a loss as how to roll the second rubber ring over the bag end without breaking it.

word, I just got one of these today, and I'm just tripping out off a pinch of Amnesia haze. This thing is crazy. I've only tried the bags yet. Only thing is, unlike me you might want to wait with getting blazed until you've got it all set up, what with all the fragile glass parts. They feel quality enough, but it's still glass. I was fucking around quite a while with assembling the balloons, and still don't think I've got 'em right.
Why that depends on the substance you intend to vaporize. There's charts around online of different herbs' vape temps. That's what's so crazy 'bout vaping, you can use all kinds of aromatic plant material, not just everyone's - presumable - favorite MJ, and when vaping weed, you can get gastronomical, adding some extra things in there for taste or synergetic effect. I like to add Damiana and/or Calamus to my sativa, as these add a 'warmth' and euphoria to my high.
Or does the weed go into the bowl part at the top of the unit?
I'm wondering because vapezilla and vaporfection allow the weed to go into the end of the whip so that the weed is not constantly being heated. With vapezilla and vaporfection, once you remove the whip from the unit, the weed is no longer being heated by the heating element because the weed remains in the end of the whip tube.
put it into the bowl and make sure the black part is at the top the black part is the top of the bowl. put the weed in the bowl and put the whip whip into the bowl
So I guess that once you remove the whip from the unit, the weed is still being heated in the bowl since it it is still touching the heating element, right?
If so, that is kind of a bummer if you have to wait 20 mins for the heating element to cool down before it stops consuming your bud.
However, everything else about this product is amazing!
lol. I'm not worried about burning my house down. lol. I'm worried about using up the weed while I'm not hitting it. Does it continue to heat the weed when you remove the whip? Or even when you remove the bowl from the unit, the bowl is still pretty hot and heating the weed for a while, right?
I'm just saying the only thing I like about vapezilla and vaporfection is that once you remove the whip from the unit, the glass on the whip that holds the herb does not stay hot enough to vaporize weed.

I love this V Tower Extreme from what I've seen. All I'm saying is that the glass part on the whip should hold the weed, not the glass bowl that is attached to a heating element.

What vaporfection doesn't have is a balloon system or a way to draw vapor without fans, or a remote, or a battery pack. These seem to be the pluses with the V Tower Extreme.
well when you breath in through the whip the hot air goes through the bowl vaporizing it or when you fill up the bags the fans blow the air through the bowl vaporizing it. When the fans aren't blowing or you aren't sucking in through the whip hot air isn't going through the bowl vaporizing it therefore it isn't using it anymore
can anyone who owns one of these comment on the thickness of the vapor when filling the bag. Is it comparable to the volcano. Iv hit the volcano and it gives nice full thick vapor. Never hit one of these so i need some feedback
How do you clean the tubes? Do they get very resinated? And if so, how long before the resin in the tubes affects the taste of the vapor? And how much resin builds up compared to a pipe or bong?
they get resed up but its not that bad just clean them every week or so depending on how much you use it. i have not noticed any taste difference yet but the vapor tastes fresh i cant really explain the taste its weird but its really good!

The Hose is made of Plastic. Pay attention and you're hear him say that there's no Plastic pieces use anywhere inside where you get the fresh air or the Warm air for the herbs.
There's nothing wrong with the smoke traveling through the tube....it's where the burning/heating process occurs that you don't want any plastic or metal coming in contact with the herb~

get any thing glass that can withstand a good amount of heat, common choices are light bulbs. If you choose that then empty it out off everything (make sure it's a clear bulb and not a soft white) you put whatever you're smoking in the bulb and light it from the other side of the glass.. I'm sure you can figure out you're own mouth piece system.

like I said it shouldn't do to much extra damage (keeping in mind smoking or vaporizing is unhealthy compared to not) as it is used in high temperature situations.. but I do not know the chemicals used for making it white but there will only be minute traces so you'll be fine to smoke it. for those who vaporize and do not use all or mostly inert materials shouldn't even really be vaporizing in the first place as it is more of a health factor than preference
a vaporizer uses leff material, and you can use solid material, just grind it up, and no problems with oils either, ive got the vapir one cordless, it got a ceramic inside, and gets you max hammered.

You are putting the temperature WAY too high... the vaporization point of herb is between 365 - 392'F.
Start at 365 and increase as desired.

Only if you use very high grade cannabis, such as Kush or some Sativa dominant strain, or just strain with a high THC concentration. If you're gonna use chinabud then its nothing really big. Either way its better than smoking and the smell is basically unnoticeable.

i do have one and they are great. i load the bowl and set it for 400F. it only takes about a minute to heat up to 400. then i give it about 2 or 3 minutes to warm up the bowl and it's good to go. you can use it after it reaches your temp, but if you wait a couple of minutes, you will get some nice thick vapor.

The Volcano is top notch, don't get me wrong. As far as "class" goes, it is the Pinot Gris of the crop (if you are a wine fan, you'd understand the reference.) The Volcano has a switch for the heating element, and a switch for the fan.
The Extreme has a three speed variable fan. One thing I would say I don't like about it is the digital read out, and that is because years ago I had a vaporizer with the LCD read out, and it crapped out.

Alright, I've been vaping on and off with this thing for the last 48 hrs, and have to say it's the business. Both whip and bag work well.
Only thing is, the temperature on the LCD screen isn't - as you may know - that in the bowl, but that of the heating element. The bowl itself will be a lot cooler, so you'll have to adjust the temp accordingly. So, you can't just dial in the proper vape temp, there's some trial and error involved.
I get good bags at 250C (480 F) but what do others use?

I don't have this model but i run mine at 347f to 357f. Any thing higher and i run the risk of burning the plant matter. I use bags and can run 2 bags about 2 ft long, per disk used.

I've read that too and mine is the most recent model, but I still pre-heat mine for 15 min so the glass bowl has time to warm up. If I don't the first bag will be very light.

I actually wanted this for the balloon feature, which works well, but now I know how chilled out the whip is, I think I may be using that a bit more when I'm by myself, and save the balloons for company.
Only thing is, when I'm filling a balloon I clearly smell vapor, making me think there is some leaking out. The bag itself has no punctures, but I'm thinking I didn't put the mouthpice on quite right. I'm at a loss as how to roll the second rubber ring over the bag end without breaking it.

So, I just got one of these yesterday, and got RIPPED off 2,5 bags last night. I'm off today, so I tought I'd kick it off with trying the whip this morning, just using the greenish brown remainder of last night's bowl. I was thinking to just get a mild lift, but no, high as a kite AGAIN, lol. This is by far the best vape I've ever tried (though I admit to having no Volcano experience). It seems it allows you to extract every last alkoloid from your herb. The vape tastes super clean. Ten stars.

word, I just got one of these today, and I'm just tripping out off a pinch of Amnesia haze. This thing is crazy. I've only tried the bags yet. Only thing is, unlike me you might want to wait with getting blazed until you've got it all set up, what with all the fragile glass parts. They feel quality enough, but it's still glass. I was fucking around quite a while with assembling the balloons, and still don't think I've got 'em right.

Why that depends on the substance you intend to vaporize. There's charts around online of different herbs' vape temps. That's what's so crazy 'bout vaping, you can use all kinds of aromatic plant material, not just everyone's - presumable - favorite MJ, and when vaping weed, you can get gastronomical, adding some extra things in there for taste or synergetic effect. I like to add Damiana and/or Calamus to my sativa, as these add a 'warmth' and euphoria to my high.

Does the weed go into the end of the whip tube?
Or does the weed go into the bowl part at the top of the unit?
I'm wondering because vapezilla and vaporfection allow the weed to go into the end of the whip so that the weed is not constantly being heated. With vapezilla and vaporfection, once you remove the whip from the unit, the weed is no longer being heated by the heating element because the weed remains in the end of the whip tube.

put it into the bowl and make sure the black part is at the top the black part is the top of the bowl. put the weed in the bowl and put the whip whip into the bowl

So I guess that once you remove the whip from the unit, the weed is still being heated in the bowl since it it is still touching the heating element, right?
If so, that is kind of a bummer if you have to wait 20 mins for the heating element to cool down before it stops consuming your bud.
However, everything else about this product is amazing!

lol. I'm not worried about burning my house down. lol. I'm worried about using up the weed while I'm not hitting it. Does it continue to heat the weed when you remove the whip? Or even when you remove the bowl from the unit, the bowl is still pretty hot and heating the weed for a while, right?
I'm just saying the only thing I like about vapezilla and vaporfection is that once you remove the whip from the unit, the glass on the whip that holds the herb does not stay hot enough to vaporize weed.

I love this V Tower Extreme from what I've seen. All I'm saying is that the glass part on the whip should hold the weed, not the glass bowl that is attached to a heating element.
Do you see the difference by watching the vaporfection video?
What vaporfection doesn't have is a balloon system or a way to draw vapor without fans, or a remote, or a battery pack. These seem to be the pluses with the V Tower Extreme.

well when you breath in through the whip the hot air goes through the bowl vaporizing it or when you fill up the bags the fans blow the air through the bowl vaporizing it. When the fans aren't blowing or you aren't sucking in through the whip hot air isn't going through the bowl vaporizing it therefore it isn't using it anymore

How do you clean the tubes? Do they get very resinated? And if so, how long before the resin in the tubes affects the taste of the vapor? And how much resin builds up compared to a pipe or bong?

they get resed up but its not that bad just clean them every week or so depending on how much you use it. i have not noticed any taste difference yet but the vapor tastes fresh i cant really explain the taste its weird but its really good!

There's nothing wrong with the smoke traveling through the tube....it's where the burning/heating process occurs that you don't want any plastic or metal coming in contact with the herb~

sevral monthst now & no more smoking for the first time in 27 years and feeling much better for it with habitual behaviour such as drinkin alchohol aswell, mostly i use the stuff @99% iso for cleaning the Extreme for brutal dry times with vape poo , not as sweet but will get the job done somewhat.!!!

get any thing glass that can withstand a good amount of heat, common choices are light bulbs. If you choose that then empty it out off everything (make sure it's a clear bulb and not a soft white) you put whatever you're smoking in the bulb and light it from the other side of the glass.. I'm sure you can figure out you're own mouth piece system.

like I said it shouldn't do to much extra damage (keeping in mind smoking or vaporizing is unhealthy compared to not) as it is used in high temperature situations.. but I do not know the chemicals used for making it white but there will only be minute traces so you'll be fine to smoke it. for those who vaporize and do not use all or mostly inert materials shouldn't even really be vaporizing in the first place as it is more of a health factor than preference

a vaporizer uses leff material, and you can use solid material, just grind it up, and no problems with oils either, ive got the vapir one cordless, it got a ceramic inside, and gets you max hammered.
