No I do not condemn the older teachings. The Old Testament tells you that God wrote it through his prophets. I was referring to the stoning. Basically the Old Testament shows you how serious God took sin. Now there is no need for burnt offerings, stoning etc. because Jesus gave his life for sin, which again shows how serious God takes sin, and was resurrected showing that if you believe in him you will have eternal life. He is the new Covenant. Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophesy

well when i went to church camp a long time ago, there were more outdoor activities. it was more camp like. the way it ought to be lol. there were scripture studies, those bored me. we'd sing songs around the campfire. i dont recall a sense of oppressiona at all with the camps i went to. then again, i was raised a methodist and i think those people are a bit more easy going than evangelists

@nayanmalig I'm not disagreeing that there are some bizarre things in the Bible. If a group of Christians had committed the murder then it probably would have made national news. I also agree that Fox would have been the last to report it and would have probably minimized the connection. To say that it was some giant conspiracy sounds like the tea baggers when they claim "the media" hides things. There are many media outlets. What would the motive be for CNN to hide a story like this?

No I do not condemn the older teachings. The Old Testament tells you that God wrote it through his prophets. I was referring to the stoning. Basically the Old Testament shows you how serious God took sin. Now there is no need for burnt offerings, stoning etc. because Jesus gave his life for sin, which again shows how serious God takes sin, and was resurrected showing that if you believe in him you will have eternal life. He is the new Covenant. Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophesy

well when i went to church camp a long time ago, there were more outdoor activities. it was more camp like. the way it ought to be lol. there were scripture studies, those bored me. we'd sing songs around the campfire. i dont recall a sense of oppressiona at all with the camps i went to. then again, i was raised a methodist and i think those people are a bit more easy going than evangelists

I hope it really is gone. I'm not an atheist... but I certainly do believe that we as resposible and free life loving members of society should make sure to keep the church in solid check... remembering the bloody atrocities of the past.
