An a HG pilot doesn't have an engine to get them out of trouble, and, they must have the best sense of glide ratio to make accurate spot landings. Many HG pilots also have their GA license, but, flying Hang Gliders is still their primary passion. There is a Air Force fighter pilot in our community who is very active in the HG community.

I've flow light aircraft on and off and regularly use FS as I simply don't have the money to fly on a regular basis, and it's fun.

Usually planes equiped for JATO takeoffs, the rockets are clearly visable on the sides of the aircraft. (see Fat Albert JATO takeoff) I think they are just good enough aircraft to do what some thought wasn't possible.

you know when i was first told about a C-130 taking off from a carrier and landing on one i didnt believe it myself. As a naval aviation tech, i have been shown otherwise. Yes a C-130 has taken off from a carrier and yes it has landed on one. The carrier and the aircraft had minor additions to accomodate the stunt.
