If anyone has ever played competetive soccer you would know how physical it is. I played Soccer as well as American Football and the contact in Soccer is far worse cause you don't wear pads and you never know when you are going to be blindsided. I've played in games where people acted like she did and most of the time the ref or coach would sit the player out for a bit to let them cool down. I say fire the coach.

In the 16 years i spent playing soccer, a good portion of them being on a team that was made Michigan's most premier league, I played in many games that were out of control in which one or two players distinguish themselves by taking things too far, similar to Lambert's actions. saying she should be banned is pretty ridiculous as precedent shows that we don't ban players for things like this, if we did some of the best players in history would have had their careers cut short

OK, as an athlete I had to watch this again closely since my last comment was so harsh. If we look closely, you will see that the first attack was a gab to the ribs, which resulted in the punch in the back. Also, the pull of the hair seemed to be prompted. Look at the left hand of the BYU player. She's grabbing the shorts and shirt of Lambert. Lambert probably just had it. Probably more not caught by the camera. As we say in the game, it only looks bad if you are caught. Poor judgment.
