I had a Flip HD camera before this and it stopped charging after a year of usage...No longer works!

I easily unbloxed this, installed software, chatged the camera and tried it out. My first video was in a biright room using 1080p fps30...amazing video of my Turtle. The sound wasn't impressive.

I kept the settings the same went into my home music studio and recorded a bunch of songs. See video Nelson "after the rain" The camera didin't record 1080p and sound was horrible!

Flip is better!

@TrichbeeT don't get the bloggie. i got one, it won't turn on no matter how long I charge it even though i didn't do anything to it. It is an extremely common problem that a lot of people end up having with the camera

Yes i have the same one but in silver and the auto focus sucks a bit i tent to tap the screen or the picture button and the audio it must be just mine because its very low even with out my finger over the mic 1 out of 10 i give it about an 8 minimum maybe a 9 :-)

I bought a Sony Bloggie Touch yesterday. I'm very impressed with the excellent quality of the video. Bear in mind that anything in this price range including top smart phones do not excel in low light situations. Apart from this it is an excellent buy. If you read about auto focus issues, the latest firmware addresses this. Mine came with the latest already. Don't bother with recording in 1080 30fps. Record in 720 60fps. Much better in my opinion.

It's pretty good at adjusting at night compared to other cameras. Also focusing is probably the worst part, a simple tap to focus on that object would be nice. It is very light and so easy to hold with the one hand on the side. Charging mine this very second, a nice camera, bought it today. :)

@braproductions You're wrong about the mono mic. It's not where you pointed, those are the speakers. The mono mic is on the side where the on/off/shutter buttons are.

@elleandpaul8789 I had to get rid of mine because of the auto-focus. It sucks because I loved everything else about it. I got a Kodak Playtouch and I'm happy with it except for the fact that your recording range seems so small. If I film a playing card from two feet away, it damn near takes up the whole screen. I'm trying to find a better camera than that now. I wish one of the handhelds under 200 that are out there would be fantastic without having faults :P

The only thing I don't like about my bloggie is my lack of knowlage about it and would like to thank you for your time makeing this video.I did find the mic on mine is on top three small holes and the two side holes are for a 360 Degree Lens accessorie mirror that allows 360 deg.pictures.now to try and figure out the share and save software that came with it.also found out it only charges when it is off light gos on and then when fully charged the light gos out,charge lasts about four hours....

@TheSoldiernation i have the same problem but you can fix it by search on google for "four squared" download it, then open your mp4 files in 4squared then click file and export to avi, pick a folder then when s exported you cann edit that new file! hope it helps =]

I have a couple of points to defend the camera!!!

Auto-focus:

 The reason it takes a while is simply because its most likely sampling at the center, simply point at high contrast areas to work around this. DSLR's have separate sensors for this.

Bland colors:

If the colors are neutral, thats good! its a good white balance, grade afterwards to taste on any video package!
