98 Accord 4 cyl: Had my timing belt replaced a few months back at a shop. It now vibrates at idle and only at idle around 750rpm? Just replaced the Front Motor Mount today with no luck and now with plans for the rear next weekend. However, I keep reading about the rear balancer might not be adjusted correctly. Any thoughts?
@kingstonzincfence Agreed! Crank it over 3-4 times by hand, double check timing marks then crank her over with the key. That way if you have really made a mistake your valves will thank you later!!!

All that greatly engineered mechanical parts relying on a think piece of rubbery timing belt... brilliant.

Jeez... all that work to change the timing belt.... Times like this I appreciate Hyundai's 100,000 mile power train warranty.

I wouldnt have started the engine before manually turning over the crankshaft at least 4 revs. I know you have your timing marks but just saying...

why do you have to take the rocker cover off? can you change the timing belt without taking it off?

@donx1234 The valve cover traps the upper timing cover so you can't remove it until you loosen the valve cover.
