  • Repeat after me ... WASPS and they've been here a lot longer than we have!

  • people who say they hate wasps are fucking stupid they do alot of good, like pest control cross pollination. Just because they occasionally bother you during the summer because they want food is not a means to label them as pests, their stings don't hurt and they'll only sting you if you piss them off, just move when they are around you they are only active for 4 months of the year and only bother humans in late summer.

  • They are wasps not bees, and I love them to death.

  • omg that is nasty

  • i got bit on the tongue and lip by a meat bee, then my mouth went numb, and luckily i am not allergic to them or i would be in the hospital for sure. and incase anyone is wondering, it randomly just flew in my mouth while i was walking, lol

  • Back in '09 I went on a camping trip with a bunch of teenagers on Santa Cruz Island, CA. The water pump near our campsite was swarming with these critters. Every time we filled up our bottles it felt like Russian roulette!!

  • euugghh i have a full on phobia of yellow jacket waps, they do not leave you alone, they are vile, aggressive, angry things and i hate them! yet i'm abserlutely fine with bees because they are alot more peaceful

  • For those that want to trap these, I saw a trap someone made once that he swore worked very well. He hung a piece of raw bacon over a empty cottage cheese container filled with bacon grease and sugar water. The wasps would be attracted by the bacon, go after the sugar water, and wind up being stuck in the grease and not be able to fly. lol

  • @henrig17 Yep! Thems the ones! hehe They like sweet stuff. :)

  • Yep very true about wanting the meat and sweet liquids. I've seen them around picnic tables at a couple picnics I've done, and they will land on the soda cans and drink, or land on a piece of meat and cut a chunk off, unless they are shooed away. Sometimes I will just watch them because it is interesting. hehe

  • well good thing you can find ways to kill then even thou its crule but still poor bat

  • Out of all the insects, I actually respect yellowjackets and hornets the most because they have the most structure and order in their societies and they run their hives very well.

  • @henrig17 LOL!

  • GUTS AND BLOOD! GUTS AND GORE ! GUTS AND BLOOD ALL OVER THE FLOOR!

  • Lol I was watching this and then my cat brushed up against me with her whiskers!! Scared the crap out of me!

  • that is so nasty

  • ewwww

  • Not bees. WASPS.

  • So THAT'S why they swarmed around my Chicken Strips at Universal Studios when I was 6. *shudders*

  • THEBEES!

  • '

a death bat put on the wooden with nails on it,,,

then yellow jackets eats it a died bat

  • I literally have a panic attack whenI see these things! :(

  • Nice video. I would say that they are V. germanica, though.

  • HELL NO!!!! =(

  • I wouldn't mind the bastards if they wouldn't follow you around when your eating THEN sting YOU for shoo'ing them away, agessive little bastards.

  • yellow jackets are badass mother fuckers. dont fuck with them.

  • wat are they eating??

  • @xSozzenx we call that thing a bat

  • I really like your negative info. But the queens also leaves the nest, witch becomes totally abandoned. The queens hibernate in cracks and so forth until spring.

  • "Only the Queen of the nest lives through the winter. The males and workers are forced outside to die. In this way they most resemble Man."

    LOL

  • One of those little bastards stings its own kind at 0:39 ..... Savage creatures!

  • Yellow jackets are more aggressive in the fall when fruit falls off of trees and ripens and ferments and the wasps get drunk and mean!

  • dude fuck that if i saw that id get my can of starter fluid and light them dicksuckers up

  • Do not screw with yellowjackets! If you kill one, they will throw off a phermone which the whole nest will attack you! NO JOKE!

  • no wonder, i killed one and their whole damn ext came, me and parents finished them off >;)

  • Are they feeding on a dead bat?

  • They are feeding on a dead bat!

  • These are the so called ground bees and are the most aggressive species of stinging wasps.

These are yellowjackets and if you run a lawnmower over their nest, you are screwed!

  • lmao i run over bees with my lawn mower and they run away

  • LOL I got stung like 6-10 times by yellow jackets...at first I thought I got a thorn stuck in me...then they all attacked me!!! Ouch! It still hurts!

  • yeah, i did that today. bastards.

  • what're they feeding on?

  • o god!!! O.O

  • I fucking hate these things. I always try to hit it with my airsoft gun when I have the chance.

  • Oh Fuck! I didnt know Meat bees were the common yellow jacket! We Are Fucked!

  • I hate them bastards. I don't mind bumble bees and the honeybees. Anything else, when I find them, their either get smashed with a brick, stepped on(yes even barefoot, the sting isn't that painful) or the hive gets torched.

  • I never knew they were called Yellow Jackets in America, in Britain they're just called wasps.

  • I can't believe you caught this on film, thanks!

  • They also feed on rotten fruit...I stepped on one a few days ago while walking past the apple tree in our yard.

  • That description says hornets aren't part of the wasp family.

WASPS: Hornets, Yellow Jackets, All wasps

    BEES: Bumbles Bees, Honey bees.

  • These aren't bees they're wasps. Hornets are a larger version of wasps. Check out the Asian Giant Hornet. These Hornets feed on bees and other insects. Many of these other insects include smaller wasps.

  • HOW AGGRESIVE ARE THEY ?

  • Yellow jackets are just your average wasp people, they get no more than an inch long, and are usually only like half an inch long. Videos just make them look bigger.

  • More aggressive than hornets but as with many (but not all) hymenopterans (the family that makes up bees, ants and wasps) they will not attack unless you get too close/otherwise disturb them

  • YellowJackets are Hornets (overgrown/giant wasps) that come in different sizes; 3 quarter inches to nearly 2 inches & over!

  • these are not vespula vulgaris, they are vespula pensylvanica, the western yellowajcket. they dont eat the meat themselves, they carry it back to the nest to feed to the larva

  • their eating a bat

  • HORNETS R WASPS U DUMB FUCK!

  • I have seen wasps in summer taking pieces of dogmeat from a bowl so they do like meat.

  • These yellow jackets nest in the ground. You know the ones where you mow the lawn and get nailed! My advice is to look at your surroundings and when you notice a swarm where you had just mowed, STOP!

  • Holy Yuck!

  • thats gross

  • interesting footage! although, these aernt vespula vulgaris....

  • Olive oil works great on the yellow jackets wings! Try that!

  • Is anyone reading the description of this guys videos?

  • ya lol

  • How does Butane Retard them what chemical is in it that does that i'd like to use that and see what happens to these bastards i hate yellow jackets.

  • NEVER use gasoline to kill YJs in the ground. Try boiling water or use an appropriate pesticide.

  • Why...?

  • That bat was already dead....

  • I like to pour gas in the hole where they are living and torch it. I am a landscaper and they are a true nemesis to us all. They invade a region and you can't look 2 ft without seeing one of them annoyingly hovering looking for trouble. I have probably been stung 100 times in my life by ONLY yellow jackets. None of the other wasps/bees seem interested in people.

  • One landed on my finger while I was unlocking my bike. It felt like a pin going through my finger.

  • thats definately a bat, dont be stupid

  • who gives a shit about latin, i got fuckin wasps in my window, how do i kill the sons of bitches, i already sprayed it with vinegar water just to piss it off

  • use WD-40 kils them instantly

  • aslo butane, makes them brain dead n retarded instantly

  • They look to me like Vespula pensylvanica. What state do you reside in?

  • Ahh! Get away from me! I dont want them to eat me! Oh and btw they're eating a bird.

  • Yellow jackets have two purposes on this planet. Their main food is caterpillars and they keep that population under control. Their other purpose is to be stepped on by humans!

  • It Ain't No Spider. It's a 3/4 eaten away Bat and they are not eating anything in it THEY ARE EATING IT!

Yum Yum! Eee Goo Foo Yo Lie - Very Goo Foo. You Very Lie.

  • what r they eating, it that a spider?

  • It looks like a dead bat to me

  • yup, screw the bees, they are pussys, wasps are just too cool

  • Wasps, not bees. Bees are vegetarian, that's why they can only sting once. Wasps sting to catch prey.

  • wasps catch prey with their legs and mandables. the stinger is purely a defensive weapon and not used to hunt prey at all

  • cool
