  • Such an intelligent breed - I don't think I've ever seen a 9 week old puppy be able to sit yet alone come, play fetch and paw! Can't wait until I adopt my own German Shepherd :)

  • im getting my GSD today . im so excited. :]

  • This is amazing, I'm buying a German Shepherd puppy at 8 weeks old.

Please could you give me instructions on the very basic methods to teach them and how to get them used to their enviroment?

I currently have a maltese/pommy and he isnt very well trained. This will distract my new puppy and interfere in its training and im really confused.

  • she seems sick because she is sneezing aaaaatshuuuuuuuuuuuuu !!!!!

  • seems very smart! reminds me of my late dog Remmington who was the victim of a hit and run, he knew his name, house broke, sit, stay, down all in the first week i got him at 8 weeks old. Gorgeous German! My puppy now is a German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix

  • i want to train my puppy how to fetch can anyone give tips on how to do it

  • damn i hate sloped backs on GSDs

  • She looks just like my Arrow who is 9 weeks as well. He isn't that well trained as yet but I'm working on it.

  • @saffiyahissoapy I like the name Arrow.

  • @rotkob yh...i wanted something different and yet kinda fierce too....but Arrow is soo playful and loving i don't ever think he'll be a "bad dog"...lol

  • what age should i get a german shepherd dog?

  • @TheMermaidlover2010 8-9 weeks as soon as possible to form a bond.

  • i have a three month old german shepherd akita mix and he is drving me crazy he learned sit and lay down very quickly but he bites me and NOTHINGGG scares him and he keeps annoying my three chihuahuas cause he is too rough with them any suggestions? I take him for a loooong walk twice a day and some times run him wiht a bike and nothing tires him out!!! please help

  • @cameronmpear How's your dog doing now?

  • @cameronmpear well for the biting at you. i suggest every time he does that kinda like squeak real loud my a loud yelp noise. and that should tell him "hey your hurting me". Cause as a pup when they play, when his litter mates yelp that;s what there saying, "ow, you hurt me". Repetition is key. and when he plays to rough with ur other dogs, give a stern no. don't yell it. just a stern "No" then remove him to another room. until he calms down. Repetition is key again. Hope it helps!

  • @cameronmpear get rid of the damn chihuahuas

  • @cameronmpear hi your only and only solution is to play fetch with him . if he doesnt know teach him. it easy for you and fun for both of you !! have fun with make your dog !!!!!! :)

  • My German Shepherd is too 9 weeks old .. he no /SIT/PA/DOWN/ and i still working for catch and come ! Sorry for but eanglish

  • Congratulation sir very nice work !!!!!

  • Well done.Good pup.

  • this is very cute dog :-] wish i still had my dog with me...RIP guci ;-[

  • Damm my German shepherd hates Being trained

  • How does he do that!? All my puppy is 3 months n wen I tell her to do Somtin she bites my hand :/

  • @LilJokker3 The biting will continue until it's at least 6 months old. Be patient and use a lot of repetition with food as incentive.

  • @LilJokker3 You can you positive reinforcement and clicker training to train your puppy to sit, down, etc!! It works wonders!! Also another good thing about clicker training is that your dog is NEVER to old or to young to train!!

  • omg i need my pyppy to do that

  • My gsd puppy is 8 weeks and knows how to sit..down and give paw in german :)

  • This puppy ROCKS.

  • e get a dog she is similiar your dog but she get more hair do u knwo what a kind of dog is it

  • I'm so madd my dog was that little (and i missed it she's a girl) because i got her when she was 4 weeks old she was still cute but now she's in the teething face i'm talking about everything she can chew is her toy. Help me please it's hurting

  • @MrJdog212 try chewy bones and sticks made for puppies, nylon bones are meant to be really good for a teething puppy too

  • oh my gosh your dog is adorraabblleee !!! i remember when my GSD was that young!!!

  • @AnaPatriciaSteiu Thank you

  • Loove that dog!

wish my parents would let me get a dog, It would be amazing, just to play with it , and take it for walks :)

  • I remember when my GSD was this small. They are really brave even as pups. One time I jumped in a lake and at as big as this one is he jumped in after me!

  • i have a same puppy like yours, but mine is a bit smaller, will that make i differance

  • @vBulletinzz

Difference in what aspect? Puppies from the same litter may have different sizes and grow at different rates, but end up about the same size.

  • love that dog how cute

  • your dog is very beautiful

  • your dog is very beatiful

  • I miss my big girl's puppy days. They grow so quickly. My GSD is my angel.

  • awwww,to cute! :D

  • good dog !

  • she's gorgeous!

  • Ur dog really nice...i juz bought one...cn tell me hw to train it bcome like tis??

  • It looks like a Doberman puppy.

  • @sistershow123456 Doberman ? Are you serious ? Or just joking.. :)

  • @sistershow123456 It looks like a beautiful German Shepherd puppy, but I have never seen such a young doberman. They are great dogs also, but not quite as easily trained as a GSD.

  • what age do you start to train your dog to do this

  • @WellCrazyJordan You can start training as early as the puppy is weaned. Training sessions should be 5-10 minutes only.

  • ugh why is it hard so hard to name a girl dog something awesome but 4 guys they're names r come like that

  • @gdwpuppiesstar Piper is a cute name for a girl.

  • @ladykiller200010 thx! lol

  • Kawaii!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im jealous... my puppy Alice is the same age and she only follows the command "come"... sometimes... other than that she is very good at biting and chewing on my hands and pants.

  • what a great dog..

  • @roktob ! Hey, My puppy is about the same age !I would like to know how much time to spend on a trick (one a day one a week ?? -Thank u ! ps your dog has a beautiful coat!

  • @IVALEXR I trained my puppy two or three times a day, about 10 minutes each. Good luck.

  • My puppy will be 9 weeks in a few hours. He's learned "sit", but I seem to have hit a wall in terms of other kind of commands, like lie down, paw, wait and things like that. Mind telling a little more as to how you taight Flame so well? Did you use a clicker?

  • @TheEvolvedMind No clicker. One important thing to teach your puppy is to wait. Every time you give your puppy food, tell him to "wait" few seconds and then allow him to approach his food. This "wait" command will come in handy later. Don't do the "paw" thing; it's cute but useless.

  • cool puppy, he is going to be the most well mannered dog when he grows up thanks to you brill training.

  • very nice video mate...we have 9 week old a GS puppy. very smart breed!!

  • dude how you teach your puppy to fetch when i throw a tennis ball to him he runs to it and come back without it or just go and keep biting in the ball like he's fighting with it he doesn't come back with it when i call him he comes witout the ball or even sometimes he doesn't run to it so any suggestions ?

  • Hey Please Can You Tell me how to teach the puppy to fetch the ball i throw for him a tennis ball he runs to it and comes back without doing anything to it or just keep biting it alonee and when i call him he comes without it so any suggestions ?

  • @Booshkash Try throwing the ball while it has a leash on. Then when it fetches the ball give the leash a tug and say come, bring it , and so on.

  • best dogs

  • at what age do there ears stand up

  • depends.. but regularly between 4-6 months.

  • wat a cutie :)

  • ur shoes untied

  • flame is one of the most well trained puppy i have seen

  • Thank you :)

  • i have to say that your puppy knows very much disipline, and its adorible. :)

  • what a good puppy you have. and flame is a very good name.

  • xD Aww their so cute we may get a german sheperd but we dont kno about now because we need to like to use the restroom outside and everything but then we just don't now because it's almost winter and theres going to be a lot of snow sooner or later and it may be hard to train 'em but yea. Would it make a diffrence to winter and summer? o.o

  • hi looks great for a nine week old pup i have a 7 week old gsd and when i try to train him or wen he goes out for toilet he dunt take the treats i have tryed his favourite but he dunt take it he onli takes it wen he indoors but not always how often and how long each time wud you try to train your dog to do certain things ie sit/down paw/ ect??

  • Nice job with Flame! She's doing really well for 9 weeks of age. I bet she's come a long way since then.

  • Such an adorable puppy!!!

  • Puppies are very easy to train with food. Put a treat in your hand, such as a small piece of hot dog, and with a down motion, put your hand in front of the puppy on the floor while saying "down". Once the puppy is in down position, give her the treat immediately.

  • @rotkob ahh maybe not the hot dog, maybe a dog treat!!

  • how do you stop them biting, i have a 11 week old male n he loves to bite us but hes starting to bite harder n harder???? please answer

  • There's no way to stop biting at this age. As a matter of fact, it will continue until your puppy is about 7 months old, when he has permanent teeth. You can put him in a crate when he starts biting, or give him a toy to bite instead. The only thing you don't want to do is to punish him. Good luck.

  • how can you teach your pup to lay down?? and thanks for the advice

  • Wouldnt he associate getting toys with biting, thus making it worse?

  • No, Actually U Buy Him One Of Those Things So He Can Keep Biting It , The Reason Why He Is Biting Is That His Teeth Are Growing And They Hurting Him LOL So Buy Him One Of The Toys

  • I have one the same age is it normal for them to curl their tail

  • Have you seen your pup's parents?

  • Yea their both akc

  • Nothing to worry about then. Good luck with your pup.

  • Wow awesome vid!! My GSD wasn't nearly so obedient when he was 9 weeks old (he's 5 now)!

  • Oh my....i have teary eyes...not so long ago my GSD was 9 weeks!!!

  • I bet he's very big now :)

  • do you think I can have one of these like a "first dog"? (I know a lot of dogs before.)

  • great pup
