I learned different about it. Jailhouse Rock might've been Elvis' favourite but he would never watch it because his co-star in that movie was killed in an auto accident with her husband. Judy Tyler was her name, the one who played Peggy Van Alden in Jailhouse Rock. It devastated Elvis to a point that he'd never ever watch JR. I still believe that KC was Elvis' personal favourite.

Not true. Elvis refused to watch Jailhouse Rock because Judy Tyler tragically died 3 days after filming. He never saw the finished picture. King Creole was cited to be his favourite picture he starred in.
