I just got my IPhone and you can customize your ringtone by going to the sounds on your ITunes Music library and changing the extention .m4a for .m4r then double click and it will play on ITunes on the ringtone segment. The just sync your IPhone and ready.

A couple reasons. First, my iPod was on its death bed so I'd have to buy a new iPod anyways (I am a commuter). Second, I like the ability to check email anywhere as I used to do that with my old phone with the downloaded GMail. I'd pay about $10 month for data charges there too. Third, it a nice toy! I don't really spend much money on other stuff except a gadget here or there so this seemed like a good choice.

Well it depends on your bank account. It is rather pricey. I normally do not much a lot of things except a gadget here and there. Even if make a lot of money the iPhone is still pricey because, after all its just a phone. The cost/benefit is not there.

If you have money to spend and want something cool and not very practical for your money then I guess the answer would be yes, go through with it. If not, pay your rent, lol.
