I actually really like this cast.

Sure Ran isn't really like the manga and Shinichi isn't entirely like in the manga either but this was a really interesting series. I usually don't like live action but I want them to make more of this!

And plus, Shinichi is really hot and Ran is really cute :) Mouri is just funny all the way!

I randomly watched an episode of this when I was in Japan last year. I couldn't remember the name of the series but I remembered the character names. I think this adaptation is going to be quite good.

anyway. i know they cast junpei (shinichi's actor) because shun oguri wasn't going to do any more high school roles. i'm not entirely sure why they changed everyone else but that might have been because they cast junpei as shinichi
