I love deanne :)
She's not completely deaf though; she has a severe loss (but not complete) in her left ear and is completely deaf in her right.

I had no idea that Deanne Bray was really deaf, I thought that was her role on Heroes (Season 04) was just pretending, but it's actually the reality.
Great she's on one of the best TV serie's atm. =D

As far as I know; there are two deaf actors; Deanne Bray and Marlee Matlin. I hope somewhere deaf people still training for actors as hearing people often.

Deanne's husband is a deaf actor as well and appeared with her in several episodes of Sue Thomas: FBI. He's the guy that played "Troy." Deanne was on Heroes tonight as well, which I was not expecting. It was cool. Given how the episode ended, I think she is going to be on for at least one more episode.

i watched this videom clip and watched the captioned on it at the same time and the captioned is not the same as to what they were saying, given the fact that they're deaf and it was transcripted for the hearing people but they were not all word for word... thus asl comes into the picture. there's really no point, just making a comment for both sides ( deaf and the hearing).
