We Yaquis refer to ourselves as Yoeme. Yoreme refers to our Cousins the Mayos. and Yoeme are from Sonora and also in Arizona. I live in the Yaqui community of Guadalupe in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and I have never heard of this guy. We Yaquis dont have Chiefs, we have governadores but not chiefs. I am an activate participant in Yaqui rituals and ceremonies here in Guadalupe. I agree this guy sounds like a fake.

@TheErrantWilder well we try to stay strong, and we try our best to practice our traditional way of life to the best of our ability, sadly we don't practice and live it as traditional as our beloved ancestors but again we try, a lot of cultural practices were lost in genocide attempts by various governments... even some of our "traditional" clothing is not traditional, before the 1600's where could we have possibly got brightly colorful ribbon and fabric material?
