  • I am Yaqui not full blooded but Yaqui I learn my Yaqui culture and am learning the language this guy is a fake no such things as "Yaqui chiefs" and this guy looks nothing like a Yaqui full blooded Yaqui men are very tall and well built also very brown

  • I am a YAQUI and PROUD!!!!!

  • I tried so hard to masturbate to this video, his native american version of a Hawaiian shirt was the biggest turn off.

  • this fool don't even look like a Yaqui, I'm a true Yaqui that lives In Guadalupe Arizona and know more about our tribe than this fool does.

  • he used to be Lakota.

  • I am a Yaqui from Obregon sonora and live in los angeles .Would love to talk in yoeme

  • I'm Yaqui and lived with the tribe all my life. This guy is a fake! This is why WE on the tribe have people you can talk to, to truly know what we are. Anyone who watches this as a way to gain any knowledge of my people; is mislead. You can't learn any culture by not live with them.... that's the reason people who study French then go to France know the culture not just the langue. Inherent truth of Native people are in the Movement of their honest dances, Accents of the pary, song or spoken word.

  • i am water falling to the earth.....womb weather baptismal, . thank you mama.

  • i am water falling to the earth.....

  • Brother - I find you even more radiant and loving in person. It was good meeting you for the first time this lifetime at the film festival this past weekend in Carmel. I have been listening to your music on CD - so the joy continues.

  • Chief... You know I love you with all of my heart.! We were brought together in the 80's by marriage and I believe in you as a spiritual guider! i love you Sonni!

  • Chief... You know I love you with all of my heart.! We were brought together in the 80's by marriage and I believe in you as a spiritual guider! i love you Sonni!

  • Yaqui's don't have chiefs.

  • My Mother told me that my family are part Yaqui well at least a miniscule part...yet I feel at heart ..a big part of me is Native!!! I hurt for the people! I hurt for everyone!

  • this guys full of shit hes not Yaqui

  • Everything is interconnected... Everything... To us to reflect on this maybe overwhelming... yet if you can get beyond the sorrow and joy of this... is the understanding.

  • this guy is no yaqui!!!

  • Chief Reyna, I am sure you are a fine individual but so much of your language and expressions are so alien to the Cahita. Very hollywodesque, but fine, it doesn't hurts anyone.

  • You are awesome...

  • Whether you know him or not the more important question is do his words and perspectives have truth in them?

  • Can somebody help me out?! I'm trying to find my true Native American Mexican herratige. My whole family is from Culiacan Sinaloa. Am I from the Yoreme family or the Yaqui's family? Can somebody break it down from me and explain it please! Sorry for not knowing my culture. But it's never to late to learn specially where you came from! Thanks!!!!!!

  • owa,Yoeme. He does not represent true Yaqui spirit. my blood is yaqui. his message is goood but always be aware of imposters.

  • Sonny Reyna is not fake. I know him personally. Only a fool would rush to judgement about him. He has great insight about philosophy and our place on Earth.

  • I was born and raise in Potam one of the originals 8 Yaqui communities, my parents are full Yaqui, we participate in our traditions. And this guy traying to bank on my heritage is the worse ofense anybody can do. you're not Yaqui you don't belong in our community STOP THIS SHIT.

  • Juu yoemra, Liojta betana weyemtat ka juuneaka, ka machiku aneme benaekaum, bweu tachiriata benasi, Liojta betana lutuuriata juuneiyaatuawak.

Jume intoko bem ka juuneaka betchibo, jiba yuu ka machiku bem kokkonepo jiapsaum, juu liojta nok lutuuria, taji tachiriata benasi, machiku taawak, ti a jiakapo.

  • My father was Yaqui but he passed away before he could teach me anything about the culture. I am slowly learning. Would anyone be kind enough to translate this? I found it recently and have no way to translate.

  • im hiaki were u from sonne?

  • my dear friend and brother sonne who graced me and helped me when i needed to be lifted again on the path who healed me with his kindness and wisdom now i am with mother nature and father sky and when i think of sonne comes a hawk or eagle and at the night sky a shooting star he is blessed and sending love to the world to heal us all

yahete sonne mahlo from maya world to you

  • dear sonne placed me into life again my friend who helped me lift again to the spirits and guided and blessed me with his love and kindness i walk the green path live with mother nature thank you sonne always the hawks and eagles come when i think of you sometimes in the night sky there is a shooting star

  • yep proud to be native this is my native tribe

  • It is also my understanding that he is a Yaquis Indian who also is a Sundance Peace Chief. I find Chief to be wise, courageous, sincere and humble. We are coming into a time where we must evolve and look beyond our ideas around race and religion and respect each others unique journey wisdom. The Rainbow Tribe and the Golden Age of Peace awaits us! Peace! Gratitude!!! ~:~

  • Yes I understand that he claims to be Yaqui and is a Sundance Peace Chief, BUT in 00:34 he himself states that the "Yoeme (AKA Yaqui) honor, live and celebrate the laws of nature....... the original bible." I AM Yaqui not just claiming to be one, and i must say that no matter how nice the message sounds it is not based on any Yoeme beliefs. So if the first thing i hear out of his mouth is a lie, how can I belive anything else he says?

  • @tempe420

so you are saying that the Yaqui people don't honor the Laws of Nature ... what is your understanding of what you do honor then?

  • So let me get this right.... you come on here to debate me about what is a Yaqui belief and you don't even know the Yaqui beliefs...!?!? THEN you proceed to ask me to catch you up to speed on my peoples beliefs so you can debate me more about it.... lmao. Do me a favor, google Yaqui / Yoeme culture, Yaqui / Yoeme beliefs, Yoeme / Mayo culture, and Pascua Yaqui Deer Dance. i'm not going to sit here and give you a long story of what my people belive just to prove this lair wrong.

  • This is what is wrong with people and our society in general. You just take what people tell you and accept it as fact. I'm not going to tell you because for all you know i could be bullshitting you too. I want you to look it up, see for yourself. Don't just have everything spoon-fed to you, wake up, form your own decisions. THINK FOR YOURSELF! If anything, that is what you should take from our people. We continued to resist after all others had been pacified, we are all meant to be free.

  • i'm half Yaqui and come from a full yaqui decendant its cool

  • I'm sorry but i had to leave another post. that really upsets me that this guy is saying he's yaqui. our people are very proud we haven't been given the breaks that other tribes here in arizona have been given, cough (navajo) cough (pima) cough. perhaps becuase we resisted longer than the rest, perhaps some tribes long ago ratted out other tribes to the us army(you know who you are). but my people have suffered, and this man is trying to bank on that suffering.

  • the message is nice but him bullshitting about being yaqui makes me want to disregard everything he says. I am a card carrying member of the pascua yaqui tribe and have never heard of this man before. he sounds to me like one of these new age gurus trying to pass himself off as native. he probably isn't even really native possibly hawaiin or pacific islander. i wouldn't listen to anything this snake oil salesman is trying to sell..

  • well if people lived more of native ways! this world would be a much better place instead of a hell hole if people live by the old native ways. Obama is a great president but a native american, in my opinion would be a better president, one who lives by the native ways anyway

  • im at 16th yaqui indian

  • Reyna's message is great, the title is a bit misleading. Not a yaqui chief, but a sundance chief who happens to be yaqui.

  • I have no idea who this guy is why is he wearing hopi attire...we are not animals we are human beings this dude is not yaqui.....yaquis do not do sun dance...we do not offer our blood.......to wierd for me....

  • Yeah this fool is a fake, there are some Yaquis that sundance but its not a part of our ceremonial cycle, and yeah we dont offer blood...

  • I dont think it matters who this guy is,what his pricipals and morals are is to live in a peaceful world and the upbringing of our children and us native should follow our guidelines as a one nation and stop being jugdemental in which our religion doesnt practice...

  • @rachelesweb ...HES NO CHIEF....PERIOD,AND HE SHOULD CORRECT THIS,OR,DO NOTHING AND LET OTHERS THINK HES A "CHIEF"..HES NOT KNOWN IN TUCSON EITHER,THE YAQUIS IN CALIFORNIA KNOW OF THIS GUY,AND....HES "NOT" WHO HE CLAIMS TO BE...

  • Yeah we live buy our old ways still which as we all should i mean we should not change for anyone but we all live diffrently but our ways or wounderful our laws of nature are grand:)

  • I'm Yaqui and my grandparents were active participants in Yaqui ceremonies, they were well respected elders in Yaqui communities, i never heard them talk about laws of nature like this guy... this guy did not grew up in Yaqui society but in Texas with some shamans...

  • do the yaquis still believe in there old religion before they were turned to christ

  • Yes of course us yaquis do believe in our religion we care for everyone and everything we are all brothers and sisters in the great spirits eyes we are all his children. and we should take care of each other and all the world brings to us all

  • oh ok im apache and my people are loosing the old ways of all the spirits

  • Where is this guy from? Aren't the yoreme in Sinaloa and Sonora? I was taught the Cahita speakers were The TOTORAME,ELOTA,TAHUE,ACAXEE,PACAXEE,ZUAQUE,GUASAVE,AHOME;YOREME;(MAYO) YIRIME (YAQUI). I know they have governors. Next time I visit El Fuerte I will ask real YOREME about this guy. He sounds fake.

  • We Yaquis refer to ourselves as Yoeme. Yoreme refers to our Cousins the Mayos. and Yoeme are from Sonora and also in Arizona. I live in the Yaqui community of Guadalupe in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and I have never heard of this guy. We Yaquis dont have Chiefs, we have governadores but not chiefs. I am an activate participant in Yaqui rituals and ceremonies here in Guadalupe. I agree this guy sounds like a fake.

  • @PHXPAPI69 Are the cultures of the different tribes still strong? I have been trying to research Native America, no other means than a deep interest in culture. But I can hardly find anything that doesn't look tourist based or New Age (which I have no problem with but it may not be reliable). Perhaps you can help me?

  • @TheErrantWilder well we try to stay strong, and we try our best to practice our traditional way of life to the best of our ability, sadly we don't practice and live it as traditional as our beloved ancestors but again we try, a lot of cultural practices were lost in genocide attempts by various governments... even some of our "traditional" clothing is not traditional, before the 1600's where could we have possibly got brightly colorful ribbon and fabric material?

  • Que el Dios Jaguar nos Ayude a cambiar

  • Hey Sonne my friend an teacher

This lovely person is not a fake the point is not whether he is chif or not, but what he can. Thank You Sonne from Signe og Peter i Denmark Love to Leo and Claudine too.

  • nice

  • Alot of what he says makes sense but I won't be sending any money, I want too give to a charity that can account for every penny not saying this guy can't, but I like facts figures when I donate!

  • If the whole world lived and practiced these kinds of ideas we would live in a human paradise.

so many people are out of touch and brainwashed by materialist culture.

  • I really admire him for being able to put it all in words in such a beautiful and true way. he is sharing a genuine speaker of thruth.

  • What Sonne is sharing here is SO IMPORTANT his passion is TRUTH , as a true chief's should be. What are the chiefs of our countries sharing of REAL TRUTH? I love this film , thank you.
