It will really good for changing simple settings such as the low voltage cut off and the timing. So it is not nesasry but it would be a good thing to have.
scarboss49, I have the Geico and the Mystic 29 and im running Lipo 50c 5200mah, what is the programmer going to do for my boat? will it increase speed? please help me out.
your doing the wrong thing. to stop the ''cavitation'' (bouncing) you need the battery's farther back....so the prop doesn't jump outside.....that decreases drag...and increases speed so when it hit's the water the prop can break. If you get larger mah batteries and if you put them farther back ( towards the prop ) that should get rid of most of it. Only most of it though.....cuz all these boats are over powered....lol

@hpslayer72 I would get a 30c or higher 5000 mah or higher battery. You can go to hobbypartz to get some really good cheap batteries.
