  • nice car man! great video too

  • Nice video. It is hard to find nice walk around videos. Hopefully I will have one soon.

  • Wired I've never seen a new 6.4 srt8 with that steering wheel? Lol

  • @TheGent704

All 2011's have this wheel, 2012's have the round center with the "D" style rim.

  • please make more vids of your car please

  • @YerRBZ

    Will do!

  • Ah! I can't wait to get my challenger. Sexy motherfuckers.

  • Great review Im thinking about trading my 745I in for this but I want the older 6.1 found one for 30k 18k miles

  • @AcyBaby704

There are a lot of great deals out there on 6.1's and the nice thing is, you can go as wild as you want with the engine. We 6.4 guys are kind of stuck at the moment since Chrysler has not yet released the encrypted boot-loader for the PCM to the aftermarket.

  • @brett248vista Yea I read that about the the 392 but how are you liking it so far

  • @AcyBaby704

It's an evil beast! :) It's very hard on back tires even when you don't do smokey burnouts! I am patient and can wait for the programming, it's nearly 500 horse from the factory so it's healthy for sure. Love the outside and inside.

  • THAT IS THE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LuisLeon030295

I don't know if I'd go THAT far.. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my Challenger! But I wouldn't turn down a Lamborghini Mucielago, Reventon, McLaren anything... Bugatti :) Thanks for the kind words! :)

  • Nice ride! Challengers definitely the coolest looking muscle car out ther.

  • @Chernobylxsurvivorx

Thanks!!! I agree! I think the Camaro and Mustang are also fantastic cars, but for me, this was the one! :)

  • I saw your Challenger in Dodge facebook page... Awesome Challenger man i hopefaly get a whithe one with dual stripes srt8.

  • @seasniper1 Ik i miss spell a lot a crap lol

  • @seasniper1

It's ok, this is not a spelling bee! Thanks :)

  • @brett248vista Haha true tho, nice challenger man again.

  • That's a beautiful muscle car concept and orange is an awesome color.

  • @arobb2007

Thanks! I am typically not an orange person, but Toxic Orange spoke to me! I could have been equally as happy with a Green With Envy as well! :)

  • I like the dodge challenger. This is my brother

  • The wheels suck for a 50k car, other than that beautiful car.

  • @stangization

Alcoa forged aluminum rims suck? well call me crazy! I actually love these rims, but there is also a different style available (WPA) which is also an Alcoa Forged and came on the Inaugural Editions, but personally I like these better.

  • @brett248vista No i think he means , the Rubber ,those goodyears are crap...

  • With that trunk space ima put a booming sound system

  • beautiful;) bro

  • just a tip. wrap carpet around that pole that thing you put on the pole might rotate and you could chip paint or dent your baby!!!

  • @acmadsen

That's a great tip for sure! I don't pull up far enough for the door to hit it, I devised a "high tech" parking stop. It's a fluro yellow/orange fishing bobber hanging from 16lb test on a nail. Once the window hits it, I stop! :)

  • @brett248vista

high tech :) ive seen people do it with a tennis ball hanging. very nice video. I have seen some of your rifle videos, i was looking into getting the M&P 15-22. Nice videos btw and subscribed :)

  • The only ugly part is the gauges

  • @the3idiots14

I think the gauges look great, the only gripe I have is the illumination color. Mopar uses electroluminescent film for gauge lights, you can't just easily change the color, plus all the other million little places there are lights. Would be nice if it was all RGB LED and could be changed (Ford does this).

  • @brett248vista I like the classical stylings of the Camaro and Mustang gauges. I've driven both cars and Camaro wins in my book.

  • @the3idiots14

Yep if that's the case then I can understand your perspective, because I absolutely can't stand the interior of the Camaro at all. I felt they went totally overboard with the design. The Challenger is very straight forward inside and has what it needs to get the job done, but without a lot of throwback inside. I do like the interior of the Mustang though.

  • OMG man.. you got the exact one I want.. Toxic Orange and all. Drool

  • I'm more facinated with the vending machine in the background lol

  • @tmdpictures

    It's for sale :)

  • Awesome car, you really know your stuff about it. The only mistake you made is getting the auto. Gotta go with the 6 speed!

  • @huskerlegend77

    I didn't make a mistake, I got what I wanted. :)

  • NICE ASS CAR!!

  • Nice car love it man I want this car so bad and I am 20 years old man if I had the money lord please help. It sucks when you don't have money and good walk around for this car.

  • @lovelyhearts15

Work hard, keep your chin up and always smile (makes them wonder what you are up to!) You will get there! Thanks for the props!

  • @brett248vista Thank You I feel better now I really appreciated a lot ;)

  • @lovelyhearts15

    Any time! :)

  • Very beautiful car!! I love it. =)

  • @E34Benzin

    Thanks!!!

  • sweet, thanks for show this. You have helped me make my mind up.

  • Beautiful car man!

  • @JoshJW11

    Thanks!

  • Sweet ride, what kind of camera are you using?

  • @ThatGuyOverThere35

Thanks! I am using a Fuji S100FS, it's not HD by any means, but I download the videos and do my basic editing in Windows Movie Maker and then reprocess at 2.1Mbps for Local LAN, that bumps up the quality a bit.

  • Thanks Brett for uploading your review. Well done and informative. Your car looks awesome. And great not to see toxic orange in the bright sun, because all pics and vids are that way.

I am considering the exact same car, except for the nav and I personally prefer a stick. What made you decide to go for an automatic?

  • right when he says its raining you can hear a bird which means its probably bright and sunny

  • @ToolsofDesturction2

It wasn't bright and sunny! when that was shot we actually had so many weeks of rain I thought I should have invested in an Ark rather than an SRT! I just got fed up and started driving it in the rain :)

  • @brett248vista gotcha you made the better choice on the SRT8 its my dream car but sadly im only 15 WISH ME LUCK ON THAT

  • Brett, get that baby out in the daylight, on the grass and in a light that opens the Toxic Orange Colour, perhaps under the filtered light of some trees. Thanks for explaining the active intake manifold and revealing many of the details of this historic upgrade of the SRT8. Yes the auto trans offers smooth consistent better performance, smart distinction. I might prefer the black pocket version of your wheels, though as is they have an original appeal. Capture the orange destroying gravity!

  • @RootsandTendrils

Thanks for the positive words! You are spot on when you talk about how this color plays on the sunlight, it does change radically! What I need to do is take some photos on top of the parking garage at work on a sunny weekend, I think that would be a nice "industrial" back drop. I am very pleased with my automatic, I'm sure I would have been happy with a stick too (after getting rid of that blasted C.A.G.S) but as she is now, the auto is NO slouch! :)

  • beautiful car.... how much did you put down on it?

  • @roganscrib

    20K

  • @DAN4279

Can't go wrong with black! You will love it :)

  • Wow that's an amazing car! I really like this and the mustang gt.

  • Thanks for doing the good review man; awesome car

  • @AiRbRiANxx3

Any time! Thanks for the kind words! :)

  • That car is sweet I'm getting one very soon I can't wait!!!!

  • Man one beautiful car....its awesome. Ur one lucky guy. I want one...and plan to get one...but since I'm 24yrs old ...my insurance is gonna sky rocket. So ill have to wait a lil.

  • @xxBLKChEvY07xx

Thanks! Don't be afraid to shop around for insurance too. When I bought my 300C my insurance company decided since it was my primary vehicle and it was rwd and 345 horse that they were going to nail me.. Well I packed up and took my car insurance, truck insurance, boat insurance, homeowners insurance and went somewhere else! Now my Challenger is my secondary vehicle, my insurance went up $9 a year on the Challenger over the 300C.

  • Why did you get an automatic?..c'mon it's an srt8 it's naturally supposed to have a manual..lol

  • @KidWonder101

Does not need a stick and I didn't want one :)

  • Awesome walkaround video of one of my favorite cars! Love the toxic orange on the SRT8. Please do more videos...I want to see that baby out in the sunlight. Good job.

  • @shield010

Thanks for the kind words! I absolutely plan on shooting new videos, but I want to wait till I have a few of my mods done, mainly my cat back exhaust! Very soon :)

  • why auto?

  • I agree with you Brett, it IS nice to have the muscle cars back. I personally always wanted a camaro ever since i was a teen but your right, nice to know we got all three muscle cars to choose from. Your SRT8 looks kick ass, when I get my Cammy hopefully we'll meet up on the road one day for a friendly race! Until then, drive safe Braddah!!

  • nice car! I'm only 19 and cant afford a 392, but i was wondering what you thought of toxic orange on the base model?

  • @ghettokhanacademy

I think toxic would look great on an SE.. There are things I would upgrade on an SE, like eventually the rims.. But I think it would be a great way to get into a great looking ride at a reasonable cost! And hey, it's still 305 HP even with the V6 :)

  • @ghettokhanacademy insurance is 392?

  • Thats not a 392 it has to be a 6.1 motor

  • @xchallengersrt8x r u retarted its a 6.4 not a 6.1. the 6.1 was the 2008-2010

  • @xchallengersrt8x

    Stick to video games...

  • @xchallengersrt8x oh so thats why it say srt8 and is a 2011

  • Great video! Love that color. Congrats.

  • @HofnerChris

    Thanks!

  • Alright. Lets have a race, good luck holding gears around a corner when your over drive kicks in.

  • @AbsurdlyIncredible

*shakes head* you have obviously never driven an autostick SRT8.. Doesn't matter.. I chose the right car. Post up the video of yours, can't wait to see it! :)

  • Sick car. I'm going to pick up a red 392 with a standard transmission tomorrow!

What are you doing buying the auto?

Pull up beside some mustang. Off the line he will be 2 lengths ahead cause your car will still be trying to shift to second.

  • @AbsurdlyIncredible

Hardly.. the Automatic is faster than the stick car, every single time.. :)

  • I like how you have your own coke machine. lol. I want one. :)

  • @TroutButter

It's for sale! Make you a heck of a deal, super rare Star Wars EP1 front included!!! :) Seriously though, it is for sale. I used it to store soda back when I had a cruiser, and I'd load up the boat with soda and such on the weekends. Now it just sits there unplugged. It's clean inside and out :)

  • do you know if the rt classic have the HID headlamps as well?

  • @ba11izlife

I think they are an available "option" on the RT's, they are standard on the SRT8's.

  • @brett248vista thanks for the reply. i think its like a heritage package or something. im 21 im saving up as much as possible to get an rt classic or a ss camaro both used :D

  • @ba11izlife

I don't think you can go wrong either way! I look forward to seeing what ever beast you choose! :)

  • @brett248vista haha thanks! im so jealous yu have a beast yurself. but i know yu work very hard for it!

  • Great Video!! Best one one the Challenger I have seen!!!

Now I must get one!!! XD

    Good luck with it Buddy.

  • @zippityzzz

I don't know if it's the best Challenger video, sure appreciate the kudos! :) I am enjoying her, thoroughly!!!!

  • Excellent choice! I'm taking delivery of mine late July. 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Green w/Envy. Video will be posted as well. $53,074.00 out the door. Hope I can find a church with wide enough aisles, because I'm marrying mine! :)

  • @GlobalSourceMedical

GWE's Rock! If I wouldn't have gone with Toxic, GWE was the only other color I was interested in! Can't wait to see your video and congrats on the new bride! :)

  • love the colour ...i wouldnt know what to get tho 6 speed or auto ? why did you choose auto ?

  • @parosite

I don't think you can go wrong wither way. If you want to row your own gears get the stick. The Auto is more consistent at the track if that's a concern and easier to launch, and the automatic gets MDS where as the stick does not. The stick gets Skip Shift, so a skip shift eliminator is a MUST! My 6 speed Vette had skip shift and I got rid of it as soon as I could.

  • #214 IE here. You were lucky to get this car, after the Fukishima Tsunami, SRT-8s are hard to get. (Paint suppilier was wiped out)

  • @SOFSoldier1

Yep don't I know it! I have yet to see another Toxic SRT8 around here.. There is one IE SRT8 around here and that's all I've seen..

  • Thanks for the info on price. You seem very knowledgeable on the car. Do you know what the widest tire you can put on the stock rear wheels? I have read a ton of forums but have not found a clear answer, thanks

  • @1norgman

No idea on the widest tire that can go on the stock rim. Haven't had to replace tires yet so I haven't bothered to look into that.

  • Meant $42,700 + tax, tag and title

  • Do mind saying what you paid? I am looking at the same car with the manual trans. All other options are the same. The dealer is down to $42,700 + tag and title. Wanted to see if that is a good price, thanks

  • @1norgman

Depends on what options it has I guess. I'd say that's a very good price, for a well optioned car (not that there are a ton of options as most of it's standard) mine has the Sunroof, the Garmin Nav, the Kicker 13 speaker upgrade and was 45 and change. The Nav packs and the Sunroof add a bit to the price and the manual is also less than the automatic.

  • ....fuck dude im soo damn jealous...ugh do you make payments on her?

  • @typhoon466

Yep, half is paid for, I locked the other half in at 3.2% APR, would have liked to get a little lower but I can't complain. You couldn't get a loaded Neon for what I am paying on her :) (It helped that I had a paid off, low mile 300C I traded in)

  • @brett248vista well i admire your car...you did a great walk around on it....very detailed. i was thinkin about gettin me one here in about a month or 2...

  • @typhoon466

I highly recommend it! The grin is hard to wipe off your face :) She has gotten driven a LOT.. I am at nearly four thousand miles in just two months time! :)

  • I just bought mine today. Also a toxic orange 392 SRT8. I love it. Absolutely love it.

  • @pdt1226

Congrats! Gorgeous color isn't it? And the 392 is an amazing and fun power plant. You will be grinning for a long time! :)

  • Very sweet ride man. Have fun!

  • @chadaneal

    Thanks! I am having a blast! :)

  • If your battery dies youre screwed

  • @wchs84eagles

    Not at all....

  • @brett248vista You can get in the trunk if your battery is dead?

  • @wchs84eagles

Yeah, use the key to open the drivers door, pop the hood and hook up jumper cables.. You don't have to get to the battery in the trunk. But even if you needed to get in the trunk you can, lay the back seats down and pop the emergency trunk release.

  • @brett248vista The dealer didnt tell me that. He basically said it dies good luck. So now I have the 2011 charger its a great car

  • @wchs84eagles

2011 Charger, same chasis as the Challenger and the Magnum and the 300C. All the underpinnings are the same, same electronics too. All of the "LX" platform cars have battery terminals under the hood, even though the battery is in the trunk. If the battery goes dead you are not stuck.. Don't expect a dealer to actually know squat about the product they sell! :)

  • Nice car to look at but I think its 2 big for 2 door

  • @uberjorge5737

I disagree, unlike other 2 door cars in it's segment, it has a usable trunk, very decent back seating and a great interior. It's the perfect size :)

  • Great ride man, I was gonna say if you look in the lower right of the radio it shows the model #

  • @geedee3

Yep but when you are shooting the video your mind goes blank and it's like "umm daaaa" lol :) non scripted!

  • So i might be getting mine soon, but i'm worried about the mechanical problems i might face. I live in a very hot climate and i read about some 6.1 challengers that have heating problems. note that the odometer read 10000 miles and it has heating problems?

also, i drag race and drift alot in my old car can i do the same in the challenger and not have to worry for like 2 - 3 years? or am i going to face serious problems?

    thanks for the vedio

  • @Tiger1Claw47

I don't know what your "old car" is, so it's hard for me to make a comparison. My 392 runs at 215 degrees no matter what the ambient temperature is.. It ran at 215 degrees in 50 degree temps and it's run 215 degrees in 98+ degree temps. The thermostat is 208 degrees I believe, so 215 is right where they obviously run. As for how the differential and axles will hold up.... Depends.. I know some people can bust anything... The hardest thing on the axles and differential is

  • @brett248vista

"Hooking" loss of traction doesn't tear parts up, but hooking up abruptly can bust all sorts of parts.

  • @brett248vista it was a 6.0 Chevy Caprice, and as for the temperature here it gets like over a 118.

one last thing you know performance cars were built for speed, so i really can't keep my leg off the peddle i would go to college driving like 100 miles for 30 miles a day would i have problems in 2 -3 years? because that's how long I'm going to keep this car.

    thanks for your time

  • @Tiger1Claw47

I can't guarantee you won't have problems, I can't give that guarantee on any vehicle from any manufacturer. But I see no reason why you would have any major issues with the car. I've put nearly three thousand miles on mine in less than a month with no issues :)

  • @brett248vista

    And I don't baby it.....

  • @brett248vista That was what i was looking for.. again thanks for your time.. appreciate it

  • Great review! Even the big reviewers dont cover many of the things you did! Thanks.

  • @LoneArcane

Thanks for the kind words! That's why I wanted to touch on some of the features, no one else seems to look past the body and the horsepower :)

  • @brett248vista Yes, that's true. do you plan to install an exhaust system on the vehicle?

  • @LoneArcane

I am installing Quick Time Performance low profile oval exhaust cutouts. I like the stock exhaust but if I want to be obscene the cutouts are great for that, and then at the push of a button it's back to stock.

  • @brett248vista That's great! any other aftermarket accessories?

  • @LoneArcane

Not much yet. Just changed my rear emblem, moved the stock rear emblem to the grille, removed the stock "Challenger" and "SRT" script from the grill and had a custom made carbon fiber "SRT8" emblem made for the where the stock rear emblem was. Plan on adding a Hurst Competition stick (it's all for looks on the auto of course) a drop in K&N when they come out with it, switching to synthetic oil very shortly. That's about it.

  • I don't think you can get a much more awesome paint job

  • @newyorkyankeef4n1018

Thanks! Yeah I am glad I went Toxic Orange, it's something else! Really brings out the lines of this machine!

  • @brett248vista definitely

  • sick

  • diid you want the automatic or did they not have a stick available?

  • @ou81twoz

I wanted the auto. MDS is only available on the auto.

  • awesome video. awesome car!! i like the optional srt wheels though....

  • @harpal999

I like both wheels, but why pay more for a Cast rim (the IE rim) the stock rims are Alcoa Forged and likely much lighter. But it wouldn't have been a deal breaker if this car would have had the IE rims.

  • @brett248vista

Correction the WPA Rims (What's used on the IE, is forged.

  • I have the exact same toxic orange 392 but mines a stick shift

  • @joekazouh

Congrats! Aren't they a beast? And this color... I don't know if I like all the attention it draws :)

  • Congrats! Whats her name?

  • @JoeBird76

    The Evil Pumpkin :)

    Thanks! :)

  • This is nothing but cool! What a ride, now i'm not sure if I like this or your 748 JD best!! You do a great job with these videos.

  • niceee car. but im kinda dissapointed with the exhaust. the video probably doesnt do it justice, but it didnt sound like a 470 hp hemi

  • @WiLLORRisGAY

Like Ralph Giles said in his Motoman interview, as a manufacturer they aren't allowed to make a car infinitely loud, there are noise laws they must meet. It sounds really good at times, other times it's really quiet. That's why there are third party options. I think a set of Flowmasters would sound absolutely evil on this engine! Thanks!

  • you lost me at automatic transmission .

  • @noblinger

Good thing they offer them both ways, not that the stick is any faster... :)

  • very nice car!

  • @MadR6

    Thanks!

  • Looks pretty sweet man... you need to fab a nice mount for the 15-22.... maybe under the trunk lid :) Congrats on the new ride :)

  • is it saturday yet? :) nice video brett

  • @pacificdrumma

It seemed like it took forever for Saturday to come :)

  • That's a nice ride brother! Next time maybe we can go along on a test ride? ;-)

  • Hi Brett, again MrMaxtowers from Italy... after the S&W M&P 15 22 seems that we share another interest... nice ride man (

(anyway i don't own one of this but just an humble Ford Ranger)

kinda envy u (in a very friendly way) :)

  • @MrMaxtower

Thanks! Cars and Guns just seem to go hand in hand :)

  • I love seeing that all us gun guys are also car guys...Beautiful car but you know it's Bowties for life though =)

  • @gangsta2wo6ixworld

I'm just thankful that we have the choice of muscle cars! :)

  • @brett248vista True true, just like the AK vs AR vs Hk91 (I'm an H&K Guy) Some of us like Camaros, (I'm a Camaro 2SS/RS guy) Mustangs or Challangers ;) I still say my Camaro will smoke your Barbie Doll car!!! ;) hahahaha just teasing =)
