  • Why does the beginning of this video look like a would-be mug shot?

  • Likes divided by two = Dislikes

  • I like the hand canon you load your ball and pack it with gun powder.

  • omg your hair

  • i know people are using 3 fingers when they bowl, i acctualy use my 2 middle finger only to get my spins. makes my swing better and and the spin better;) try it for fun!

  • @Bollalillo thats fun to mess around with but its not consistent.

  • @Drewwberry i have no idea what consistent means, but im doing very well with it every single time, average score of 200+

  • @Bollalillo Congrats, 200+ is nearing pro territory. I have never seen anyone league bowl with a 200+ ave only using 2 fingers. Consistency is the ability to throw the same way (speed, rotation, break) every roll. Most people that bowl with 2 fingers are just having fun.

  • how well does the thumb insert thingy work??

  • @louisdiaz316 I used to have a thumb insert, works good. I prefer just the two finger inserts now.

  • Great shot

  • he looks like a guy from a supermarket movie where they fight eachother to get the employee of the month title hahahahah

  • 0:34 gay

  • He looks like he had a long night!

  • National Geographic should come out with a video on LIFES OF HOMLESS BOWLERS. Hosted by Glenn Suns.

  • I love how he walks it off at the end like a true baller...

  • okay, first thing, throw out evey comb in your house. Next, rub an inflated balloon all over your head. Then and only then go ahead a make your video.

  • guy sounds like George bush Sr. or better yet dana carvey doing Bush.

  • he knows a lot about bowling techniques....not so much about bathing techniques

  • Looks like make-up gave Glenn a noogie right before camera rolled.....

  • He missed his mark by 4 boards to the left.

  • the people at expert village are very kind for allowing the mentally handicaped to provide us with such dynamic instructional videos.

  • beautiful

  • learn to bowl before attempting to instruct others on how to do it

  • @jtleg6 - True, he's showing a very elementary locked hand position release, but it's a good starting point for a lot of beginners. Turning the wrist is much easier to tackle for a bowler who has their approach down and their release timing figured out.

  • 0:33 Littering!!! Most of these bowling guys probably know how to bowl but they're just not good at explaining it, that and the guy seems nervous in front of a camera.

  • and thats exactly how NOT to put many revs on the ball!! YAY

  • Very amature like release, working the outside of the ball results in a late entry angle and a lot of corner pins, low rev rate, and lack of power and accuracy.

  • How do you relax a bowling ball ? He meant relax the hand (do not squeeze the ball)

  • worst tutorial ever....

  • u didnt tell how did u spin that ball!!!!!!

  • Jesus if you're gonna make a video fix your hair first.

  • He simple didnt help me . Thats all i can say .

  • LITTLE NERVOUS THERE PAL?

  • he needs to go slow on the meth.

  • this video was good for wasting 40 secs of my time,

  • @andy55055 dont you mean 41 seconds? lol

  • how many words did he stuff up in just 40 sec!!! he wants the ball nice and relaxed? um, might mean your hand dickhead.

  • WHOA I THINK THIS IS TO ADVANCED FOR ME!

  • Could have combed his hair first

  • you do not start with your feet apart. they are supposed to be together. on top of that you are supposed to keep your hand underneath the ball from the beginning of your approach until you are about to release it and at that point it should be a natural twist of your wrist.

  • they make it look so easy

  • guy looks like he just got done snorting blow

  • only problem i see is that i've never in my life heard someone say to stand with your feet shoulder width apart. i put my feet together right slightly further back than left, some angle their right foot just behind the left foot (for right handers.) but i bet you'll never see a pba bowler with their feet apart.

  • I think that this video has developed my great games the most. its so useful...the information from this video that it.

  • Another pathetic vidio by expertvillage but some of ur bmx ones r ok

  • The ball didn't even hook, You can see that he was trying to get a Brooklyn but his ball was so crap is can't move, you even see his wrist turn. Expert village is shite. Watch the "speaking with an english accent" it's so wrong.

  • @jimmy199244 All ten pins fell over.

  • useless piece of shit video

  • 0:14 He Sound Like Borat ! LOLS !!!

  • Sure, anyone can bowl a strike with fancy video editing in the post production.

  • This is one of my main concerns when bowling too, the release of the ball as I'm scared I'll break a finger backwards if I swing too low. I've got a bad habit of dropping the ball just as I'm releasing. I can't explain it but it ruins my technique. All comes back to a fear of breaking my finger. I've bent it backwards too.

  • If you are bending your fingers back - then straighten your knees up so you release the ball IN FRONT of you - not behind or beside of you!! Also keep your wrist STRAIGHT - and the palm of your hand ALWAYS towards the pins - this makes it physically impossible to bend a finger!!!!! And NEVER squeeze the ball - if you have a normal stance and approach - and PUSH the ball on your first step - gravity will work WITH you - your arm is ONLY a pendulum - so you NEVER need to grip the ball tightly!!

  • LoL i love how everybody here is talking shit about this dude but i bet he's a better bowler then all of us lmao so hop off his nuts you dont like fk off lmfao

  • That doesn't mean he's a good teacher.....

    You're dumb.

  • Haha 0:08

  • I bet this guy gets loaded on colt 45 and beats his wife and kids every night, lol.

  • my left thigh is killing me after a couple games what is going on Im right handed too.

  • if you drink enough Guinness and you throw the ball at the lane to the left of you your get a strike 9-10 times

  • @tdstudd1996 hahaha

  • 0:14 the kid in the backround "What the HELL!"

  • Still waiting for expert village to do a video on how to wipe your own ass.

  • @assphincter you could be serious about this given your username is assphincter. You could have a thing for ass.

  • @assphincter lmao good one

  • @assphincter LMAO

  • @assphincter one day, it will come, i'm sure!

  • @assphincter What could expect from a username "assphincter"?

  • Why do most Bowlers Look Homeless, or like they havent showered in days???? LOL

  • @vanhalenking they are living the lebowski dream

  • @vanhalenking liquer

  • look! a hobo got a strike! LOL

  • @vanhalenking because they haven't lol

  • @vanhalenking Because they are

  • @vanhalenking because they want to imitate 'The Dude' LOL

  • @vanhalenking if u get a lotta throws in, u can get pretty sweaty :) plus if i get frustrated i wipe the sweat very quickly, screwing up my hair. not a pretty sight when my hair was longer!

  • @vanhalenking Because we are and we haven't LOL This video was definately shot the morning after his late night league....I almost guarantee it!

  • @vanhalenking

Because they watched Big Lebowski ??

  • I average 220 and already know this stuff. However, I am deaf and I appreciate the time and effort of adding captions to this video. Now I can forward this link/video to my fellow deaf students of the game and they are able to follow your instructional materials a lot easier. Thank you for adding captions.

  • this guy looks like a hobo.heres what he said~~ Euhh Ah Can I Have Some Beer? I CAnt Have Enough Of It... grhhahhhhh

  • Be quiet noob, watch him bowl and you might learn something! why you care what he looks like anyway? lol He is teaching bowling.

  • o.o so im the only one being ' sound ' by you ? look at others.they givin him good comments abt his looks? THINK. NERD

  • I find that sometimes a beer can help.

  • legit though

  • man this guy is hammered

  • indeed

  • Give him a break, he works at a bowling alley. If that was my main job, I'd be drinking too.

  • he just bowls better that way.....

  • Like big lebowski hammered.

  • Can we get a three drink maximum on these guys before they start posting videos to expert village?

  • BOOO @ expertvillage!

  • you keep your hand behind the center mass of the ball through the entire stroke and release the ball with a forward thumb.

thumbhole size is critical for consistent release

  • what is interesting, is that he actually is showing how to use a "sliding hinge" as opposed to "pushing off" even though he is saying something completely different.

  • 00:37 thats the secret!!

  • how ?

  • Maybe an expert bowler, but not an expert at teaching. What? Am I supposed to pick up the technique by just watching him throw the ball? He said nothing about what he is doing in terms of wrist action, or hand position while swinging the ball, etc. And if it's clear that I don't know what I'm talking about, IT'S BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW IT'S DONE, BECAUSE HE DIDN'T TEACH ME!!!

  • Yeah I agree, the title of the video is "How to release a bowling ball" and it was not addressed.

  • wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. god i hate when amatures try to teach "advance techniques" ok to throw a hook you first need to learn to come around the side of th ball in handshake form. then you need to learn hand positions, i.e weak or strong. also the knee bent thing, that has nothing to do with hook. thats just a bowler preference. so if u want to learn how to hook a ball, shoot me a message and i can explain it to you professionaly

  • Attiganasca

  • lol this is for the older guys im a big cranker

  • Man I hate that release, thats good for when your older and you can get alot on the ball, but he follows trough on the side of the ball, If your trying to teach the real release, your wrist should be cupped and once your thumb is out then you turn on t he ball, btw there is no perfect bowling stance and release, everyone is different

  • This video was great for learning the stance and setup, but not necessarily the release. Keep these videos coming Expert Village :D

  • very nice thank you

  • omg........perfect strike

  • i think he was the guy who didnt strike in the beer frame

  • hahaha u guyz are so mean

  • how about washing that hair with some shampoo ?

  • He obviously missed the expert village video about how to present yourself on camera.

  • tell me about it

  • what hair lol

  • Hmmm... I didn't like this too much... It seems as if he turned it early, meaning he pulled it inside of target...

  • he got a strike what more can he do lol

  • I'm only speaking from another coach's view so... :/

  • advantages of bowling on a house shot!! ur mark is about 10 boards wide lol

  • So basically, the only info the tip gives, is "keep your wrist straight". Jee, thanks.

  • my name is Damn i forgot my name

  • this guy is a good bowler but these videos are absolutly pointless if your trying to learn something go somewhere else because you sure aren't gonna learn anything here!

  • Thank you, this lesson really helps me a lot.

  • man, i realised the ppl featured in these videos look... I dunno, you tell me?

  • this dude needs a toupee

  • you could tell then he had that smug look on his face of "oh yes i got a strike look at me", you can tell by how he turned around as if to look at the other people to see if they saw he got a strike, n00b, bet he couldnt do that agin !

  • lol

  • ROFL xD

    i like this guy's comment :')

  • It is true though init, watch him lol, its great, makes me giggle.

  • actually u will get a much better and consistant rev rate if your thumbis facing out ward instead of inside and follow through with your thumb up

  • expert village sucks big black n blue bowling balls n bitter bottles of beer

  • U Cant bowl U stink!!!

  • do we have to release the balls!? :S

  • he didn't actually show a correct 'release' what he did was to talk about his walk ;s

or well, the start, u know, about the wrist and stuff.

sry if i wrote something wrong, im not very good at english ;d

  • BAHA!

Watch those hicks in the background. Look at the fat chick throwing things haha!

  • what a pothead

  • rofl bedhead!

  • thats a horrible shot, you wont get shit with that on harder lane conditions

  • Yeah he may be funny looking and I would've preferred them doing just a slow-mo of his push away and release, maybe with some talking in the background but no his form and rev rate are good. It's the ball he's using. He probably doesn't like using a ball that hooks a lot so he has better control over it. A lot of the older guys are like that. They don't like these modern big hooking balls of today.

  • I agree - very decent form and rev-rate. It's crazy how many bowlers today think bowling skills are dependant on how big of a hook you can throw. No matter how you bowl, consistancy, accuracy, and the ability to 'read' the lane and adjust are what makes a great bowler.

  • Well said my friend. Thumbs up back atcha!

  • OOH RAH! Well put sir! Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • His hook looked good to me. What was wrong with it?

  • owned.

  • LMAO!!!!

  • Point taken..however I am only half wrong. according to this: Main Entry: hone in

    Function: intransitive verb

    Etymology: alteration of home in

Date: 1965: to move toward or focus attention on an objective a missile honing in on its target.usage: The few who have noticed hone in consider it to be a mistake for home in. Though it seems to have established itself in American English (and mention in a British usage book suggests it is used in British English too.

  • that would be "home" in; "hone" means something else. to do with knives. and skills.

  • very nice

  • to bad the stupid camera man didn't hone in on the push away
