I am only 20 years old, Im a Marine in Afghanistan at the moment. But this song was on a mix CD that my older brother had in his truck. He loaned me that truck for my Senior prom and after hearing this song, I fell in love with it. Hearing it now brought back so many great memories of that night. I truly feel I was born in the wrong decade. Now Im just trying to make it home alive.
i respect your sentements, don't worry bout the reprisals, there should'nt be any,if we are sorounded by like-minded lovers of this kind of music. awesome....
My favourite song off the album, possibly my favourite Fleetwood Mac song of all time. Not saying it's their best or anything, so please don't respond calling me names etc.
Just that it is my favourite.
Something about this song, time, place... something. It strikes a chord with me, finds a resonance within.
Listen to the wind on the water Listen to the waves upon the shore Try to sleep, sleep won't come Just as I begin to fade Then I remember When the moon was full and bright I would take you in the darkness And do the tango in the night Tango... I keep the dream in my pocket Never let it fade away Inside, outside No loneliness in this dream Then I remember When the moon was full and bright I would take you in the darkness And do the tango in the night Tango...
@xxbritttxx No shit?! I remember doing the exact same thing. Of all the amazing times I've had with my old man, I think the best ones were just driving in the car listening to great music while doing things like that.
Great song and it`s give me back old memories .... I was one time on a live show..Sooo great . Timeless music and i`m happy that i grow up in that time..
I have never really listened to this album in full...just recall all the huge radio hits it had....but I have noticed this album has more worldly effects than most Fleetwood Mac albums ever had...GREAT use of the effects to appeal more world wide
@HammerMusic My all time FAVORITE Lindsey Buckingham song! This was instantly my favorite when Tango In the Night was released in 1987. It had that "old" Fleetwood Mac rock vibe but also had a edgy, contemporary feel. I just wish Stevie and Chris had done some harmony vocals to make it a full-on Mac classic. Stevie was barely around to sing her own songs and Lindsey had long ago perfected duplicating his own voice to serve as backing vocals on his songs. The guitar part is absolutely AWESOME!

mrtamberineman, Thank-you so much for uploading all the songa from "Tango In The Night." someone else had uploaded then, but they were removed. For a few days I felt sad until I saw them again. This time I immediately emailed the songs to myself so that I'll have them. You don't know what a great favor you have done for all the "Woodheads" out here. Sincerely, Rob Hunter

I always thought both this song and the album were under appreciated. Great music, certainly as good as Rumors, IMHO.

Has anyone ever noticed that the album cover bears a striking resemblance the Henri Rousseau's painting, The Snake Charmer.
