i still don't get it how the animation can be animated smoothly while all the papercut sizes aren't the same? How'd they put the photo/picture? On what measure/basis?
@teletubeless (a little late) well he could probably see the current picture, he was going to make - see at about 3:61 - and then overlapped it with the previous frame(s) to see if the it matches how it should be... if not he could simply adjust the image.

at 3.51 you can see the webcam output on the screen with sharpie marks to allow them to line up the next frame.

Amazing! I can't fathom the amount of work that was put into the making of the stop-motion animation.
This has to be linked to the complete video! If anyone had any doubts it was really hand-made, this clears them.
