I dunno, i agree the lyrics do not sound too great in Engrish, but i get the feeling this song would sound kinda..... bland without lyrics. I think it would sound better with japanese lyrics, but as it is now it still sounds excellent as a whole (voice + music).

I prefer it with English vocals. Her English really isn't so bad, especially not for a foreigner. The music goes perfectly with the vocals: I imagine that without it, it will sound emptier and much less dramatic.

I also don't see why it necessarily has to be Japanese. You likely won't be listening much to the lyrics anyway, except if you want to listen very carefully and understand what she is saying.

I like the theme this way.

I picture the whole song as a mixture of their personalities: Jin is the music, which doesn't say anything and presents itself through actions (the track itself) while Tsubaki is more vocal (the singer). As they go up and down together, it underlines that they do care about each other and share a connection. I can't think of a better way that their theme could have been done.

@TooYaaay The only problem I really have with the vocals is that the lyrics sound like they were written in Japanese and then run through Google translate. I honestly couldn't tell the vocalist was not a natural English speaker, cause her English is fine.

IMO the song COULD work as an instrumental, but only if the vocals were replaced with something like a violin. But the fact that it's a vocal track adds more to the atmosphere personally.
