  • During Debussy: la plume de ma tante est sur le bureau de mon oncle. That made me laugh!

  • Well that was incredible!

  • Anyone know what they're singing at 9:00

  • @Luk3timusprime "Claude Debussy."

  • trolololololo

  • Absolutely brilliant! Great!!!

  • one of the best 12 minutes of my life spent :)

  • Doesn't the bass look like Mr. Bean?

  • OMG! It is extraordinary how perfectly they collaborate..even though they make it to seem so easy!

  • And that is the last time I bother to engage in any kind of dispute in this realm. The level of discourse is too damn nasty.

  • All I was trying to say is that it gets no one anywhere to descend to name-calling. Did your teachers call you "troll"? I doubt it. You can educate without being ugly about it.

  • LMFAO. And try to remember that not everyone who enjoys music knows the technical terms, loveetc.... We all start from ignorance.

  • fermate al min 1.58

  • bravi!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have listened with amazement to this piece over and over again. It's just incredible, but I cannot hear anywhere Tchaikovsky mentioned. Have I missed it? If anyone else has heard it, please let me know. Thanks.

  • smiling at the amazingness of the song... not smiling at my un complete assignments that lay infront of me....

  • Haendel :)

  • Guy who talks/bass is Mr. Bean and the guy who starts the song is Ernie from George Lopez

    haha

  • 1:17 Jo-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-hanne Sebastian Bach!

  • Ma che meraviglia!!

  • I find it funny that the Bass with the lowest manly voice, also is the second shortest there XD.

  • "Wiiilliiaaam Byyyyrd... (8) CAAAGE!!!!" The best part!

  • Fantastici!

  • @loveabitofliverpool The people who say, "the lowest pitch man" are not idiots. Just because you know that it is called a bass doesn't mean everybody knows that too.

  • 10:44 Their clothes sound uncomfortable...

  • What Beethoven piece are they parodying at 5:38 (with the french-horn-like sound)?

  • the bass looks like Mr. Bigg from sex and the city!

  • great!

  • "The lowest pitch man" my ass. hahaha

  • @Itsandy22

    Yes, very funny :D

  • i watched this video over and over but i never saw the guy clapping at the end but when i did i laughed myself to tears

  • has anyone else noticed the man clapping at 12.33 in the lower right hand corner?

  • I heard them say Shostakovich and Berlioz. i am satisfied :3 I wish they'd done a Shostakovich theme though...

  • I cannot stop listening to it!

  • debussy, génial!!

  • I love it, indeed.

  • Love the fact that this piece was even written because short of the electronica this is exactly how most choral conductors program their choir concerts. It's either the grand tour of Western Europe's last 400 years, a segment of that 400 years w/optional Whitacre thrown in, or a "World Music" theme. Crack. Me. Up. Fantastic musicianship, however.

  • THIS IS THE ONLY VIDEO ON YOUTUBE OF A MASTERPIECE CALLED MASTERPIECE!

  • Check out the white guy in the suit at the very end of the video. No, that's not a joke itself, you'll know which one I mean. He's the one who looks like the happiest man on the planet.

  • @paulusvii97 yeah, he seems to enjoy the show

  • 8:40... my mind is going to blow. How much practice does THAT take?? please take note that their intonation at 8:49 is PERFECT. I am thoroughly envious on their skills (talent + practice)

  • 12 minutes of music never became so short.

  • Bach again, again Bach, again Bach, again Bach. When the piece ends, inner peace comes over me and the audience's applause reminds me that I'm on Earth yet.

  • Love this. Would have been a perfect review for Music History class--too bad I already graduated.

  • Whats the name of the bass guy?

  • @samuel2109 Stephen

  • HE IS NOT MR. BEAN SO STOP SAYING IT HE IS A BETTER MUSICIAN THAN YOU WILL EVER BE.

  • 12:32 The happiest man I have ever seen

  • @harkashark =))))))))))))) DUDE I can't believe i haven't noticed that!!! freaking hilarious!

  • They start and end with the best BaCH!!

    Loved it

  • this is the BBC! :P

  • CAGE

  • Who is the last composer the sing?

  • @011000101101 From Stockhausen to Gershwin. And... Bach again... Bach again...

    (mr. bean)

  • Masterful.

  • what composition of Mozart is the one at 3:31?

  • @ulysses1889 Not a specific piece, but it's in the style of "Voi che sapete" from Figaro.

  • look at the bassman at 5:14 until they end that section xD so freaking funny

  • That bass is ~UN-BER-FUCKING-LIEVABLE~

  • perfect blending

  • What year is this from?

  • bravissimi

  • That Bach fugue is so spot-on! Simply amazing!

  • Also the "Wagner" parts were priceless...

  • Modesty at its finest, indeed. Brilliant artists.

    @ JwahAmore31 It's "Rowan Atkinson" :P

  • WOW!!! This was bloody BRILLIANT!!!!! This is the music I've ALWAYS adored; this and opera/ancient chants! I first heard of this group on an arts channel here, in the states!

    Cheers, from U.S.A., mates!

    - J

P.s. Yeah, I noticed the 'Roland Adkins' look-alike, as well! Gotta love ya some, 'Mr. Bean,' eh? (*__*)

  • @JwahAmore31 Rowan Atkinson! But I'm definitely calling him Roland Adkins from now on though. Brilliant.

  • its so nasty how mr.bean says 'if your favorite doesnt appear.. tough..' cheeky damn bean sing my song!

  • KKKKKKHHKKHHHHHHHH

  • Masterpiece

  • No Hadyn? :(

How could he leave out the father of the symphony?!

  • @Usernamehater1 i think the bass said it around 10:20. hehehe

  • "the lowest pitch man" are you idiots? he's a bass you muppets

  • @loveabitofliverpool At least they do understand that he sings the lowerst note

  • @loveabitofliverpool THE LOWEST PITCH MAN looks like Mr. Bean.

  • CAGE!!

  • "...And if your favourite doesn't appear though." And then you start with my personal favourite of J.S.Bach.....

  • lyrics are a bit silly, but the composition is great indeed

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied.

  • My favorite part(s): Beginning of Mozart, Beethoven's Whistle, David counter-dancing, Debussy and Phillips' outbursts :D

  • What is the composer at 11:36 to 11:40??

  • @oaoJ69Joao It's George Gershwin.

  • @oaoJ69Joao Gershwin

  • The lowest pitch person looks like Mr. Bean.

  • @TheRedcoatGames the person on theextremely right looks like Mr Bean!!!!

  • @attilamoka Even his actions are like him.

  • 10:25 double facepalm.

  • good that Bach got the longest bit for himself! he's best! (and his sons come close second)

  • love the mozartpiece so beautiful, mozart cry on jesus side

  • From where is the 11:56 thing..? I love this!

  • i need more "like button"!!!! great performance!

  • Cage! lolololololololol

  • interesting

  • Does anyone know what piece/pieces makes up the part where they sing "Monsieur Debussy"?

  • @ullebulle2 The "Monsieur Debussy" phrase is from _Golliwog's Cakewalk_.

  • For John Cage they should have whispered it!

  • Baaaachhhhh. LOL

  • Is Philip leaving?? I just read that on their official sites. Is that really true??? :(

  • About halfway through, my German Shepherdess felt inspired to join in. She's a contralto.

  • 07:17 - 07:38 The counternenor is counter-dancing. King's Singers: you're incredible!

  • adorable ensemble

  • Jo han Sebastian Bach....

  • Why i heard "Chopin" only once ? :(

  • LOL

  • Needs more Haydn.

  • 1:14 check out the eyeball :)

  • 0:03-0:05 BEAN!

  • His got one eye bigger than the other, hooray for retards that make a song worth watching! :)

  • Waaaaagner!!!

  • Every time I hear that Gershwin chord, I get chills. Every. Freaking. Time.

  • @cctenorman926 Gershwin is my life, it captures pretty much every technique he's ever used with that one chord :L "one chord says it all" you could say :P

  • 45 People have no culture.

  • Guy on the far right looks like a tanned Mr. Bean

  • They take accapella to a higher dimension. Superb!

  • Bravo!, Bravo!!, BRAVO!!.

  • notic that the lowest pich voice man doesnt sing at the first song

  • @slargin50 he does almost at the end of it

  • As @Tiban noted, the lowest pitch voice doesn't sing until the very end. This particular part of "Masterpiece" is a fugue. It was stylistic of the time to introduce the "subject" a final time in the lowest voice.

  • @mrseanmcm So the main subject and bass section come in part way through. So it's a bit like Skrillex's 'First of the Year'! I get ya :-)

  • @slargin50 Yeah he comes in closer to the end as they are arguing over J.S Bach and his sons. This is characteristic of fugue, the compositional style they are trying to imitate.

  • @slargin50 Somehow I feel that the musical term 'bass' should now be replaced by 'lowest pitch voice man'.

  • @tomski3 sorry im mexican my english is not that good :)

  • @tomski3 douchebag

  • @slargin50

I can't hear it but he looks like somebody who is humming

  • whats the mendelssohn song?

  • 12:31, bottom right corner- enthusiastic much?

  • @SaraTheCellist Sooooooo true hahahahah

  • Comment removed

  • Doesnt he sing Hilary Clinton at 2:45...? :D

  • @GenVK

You wouldn't happen to know what song that is, would you?

  • 11:10 to 11:25 ...what is that?

  • @cvgraham717 William Byrd, an important composer for church music in the 17th century, and has influenced much of today's church music.

  • @cvgraham717 It's the Renaissance composer William Byrd (1540-1623), who got major recognition as a composer again in the early 20th century

  • @codekiln but what song is that?

  • Also loving the parallel movements in the Debussy section.

  • At 7:15 do you think the soprano on the left meant to step the opposite way? He keeps on glancing over at the others. Funny. Still an amazing performance. What's one step?

  • and I meant 2:05 - 2:15

  • That's not a progression :L I know what the chord is, and pedal and inverted pedal is G but what are the notes sung in between them?

  • @TruePianoHarmony sorry, I began to write the notes, and accidentally pressed "post"...but I couldn't find out the rest...:S

  • Best thing I never heard...

  • Bass is boss

  • speechless ... very beautiful

  • genial!

  • Nemmeno un Italiano???

  • Comment removed

  • at 2:05 what's the chord progression?

  • David Hurley, the first countertenor, looks like Ladybug from A Bug's Life.

  • @olivleonardo ... Hee hee, I had to look again, because of your post... YES he does look like 'Ladybug', from Bug Life... And he's a guy too... Don't you just love the King singers.. *sighs* ... Best regards from Wales UK ... :0)X

  • The bass singer's solos at 2:56 - 3:20 make me very happy :)

  • What kills me is the studio sound. And this was all live... gah. Awesome.

  • 12:32 for the enthusiastic clapping man
