It is so interesting that Kondaurova danced Raymonda! Same with Olesya Novikova dancing the "Sizova" variation in Paquita. Interesting what you get cast in at school and what you dance at the theatre.

@vamaloveballet She was in Kondaurova's class. I am fairly certain she did one of the variations or maybe she did Coppelia pas de deux. i cannot remember, maybe she did both.

@BaletAll They have not done Paquita in many years.I think it was last done in 2004, after having been danced in 2001 and 2003.

@GymnasticDancer Actually, Somova might be the last Vaganova ballerina to dance Paquita. I only have 2 of the 3 Vaganova 2004 performances and only one of those 2 performances had Paquita and the lead was Vishneva, who graduated 9 years earlier. If the 3rd performance did not have a Vaganova student dance Paquita, then Somova was the last Vaganova student to dance it, doing it twice in 2003.
