  • Hi,

This is my boat, 47-027 Tyne Class RNLB George Gibson, stationed at Appledore she was on passage from IOW back to station after re-fit. Im station mech at Appledore by the way

  • Just looked into it and Brixham (Torbay) has a Severn class lifeboat and a D-class and has done for a long time. How old is his video, was it actually taken in feb, it could also be on passage a relief lifeboat for another station.

  • Just looked at the source footage. Looks like '47-027' painted on the side if that helps? A nameplate below the windows appears to have three seperate groups of letters.

  • Hate to put even more of a downer on things but it looks like a Tyne class RNLI lifeboat.

I think the Mersey was based on a 33' hull.

  • I hate to put a downer on things but thats a Mersey class RNLI lifeboat
