@Warnelf Yes.. the waygate is still available in Cataclysm. I believe the requirements have not changed, but it is still there and usable.

i did this no buffs, regular mount pay attention to how he jumps at 19 seconds in, and you need to do quests to activate the waygate

Works for a priest aswell, especially when you have levitate glyph. Just cast levitate the second you jump. Do not cancel levitate because that will cause you to fall of the slope. Wiggle ur way up a bit.

You need to be the correct level to get through the portal. If you aren't high enough, you can not go through the portal.

@bpienig evel has nothing to do with waygate use, you have to have done the questline. The questline deals with "activating" the portal so it makes sense you can't use it if you didn't activate it.

Easy to do as a hunter. Aggro one of the gadgetzan bruisers and jump-disengage onto the ledge instead of mount-jump. This method has never failed me.

13 oct 09 -- done it with my 56 pala from the second jump (just like ertnemz said :P). I have Pursuit of Justice so I was on 100% mount with additional 15% speed ^^ Too bad that I couldnt get teleported... just nothing happens when I go on the portal - think it's because of my level

I'm a DK and I done it with mammoth ( 300 stonekeeper's shards) by single jump.

Started from the point when you doing a second jump. Without any speed "buffs", only on Unholy aura

As of 3.2.0 this still works...

You just need to get the jump right. It is almost a double hop. And as I said earlier... a speed enhancement does help a lot.

You need to have some speed enhancement to be able to do it. On a Pale Horse, for example.
