I am so proud Of El Salvador and i am sure all Salvadorean are Proud as well, and I am sure not many people would know this,, i found out about 3 years ago,,and really is very interesting what Castellanos did,, not many people would to it,,Also i found it amazing that at that time wasnt Sanvadorean living in Hungary,, God never lives his people,,, God bless Israel,, also for all the Salvadorean i recomend you to see the move Schindler's List.. I'm from El Salvador and not alot of people know who Jose Arturo Castellanos is it bothers me because stories like his should be told I have set a gold to one day make a movie about him

I hope some day this documentary will be shown here in Canda especially in Vancouver, as I am a Salvadorean born but now a nationalized Canadian citizen, I told my wife about this passage of history and she was amazed as well as my Canadian born friends, greetings from Vancouver

wow i would love to see this film, my parents are from El Salvador and my mom is a Jew. My great grandmother was from Hungary and great grandfather from Poland, i would love to know more about their history!! much love desde Los Angeles!

I am from La Union, El Salvador. And a few jewish families live here, they are doctors and business people. They are very nice and contribute a lot to out society. Many jews make El Salvador their home to this day.

Well i stumbled on this video and im extremely amazed of wat La Pulgarcita did. i am very proud to b salvadorean... and at least i kno our people did something to save thousands of jewish people. hopefully later on in the future El Salvador will b more recognized by the world, for their courageous actions. This is an amazing part of history! As the name of our country says "El Salvador or The Savior" Colonel Castellanos truly put this to be a fact! I have shared this new part of history with my family since I saw the special segment on TV. It has helped me understand many bits and pieces of my own country. I live in El Salvador and it amazes me the degree of love that the Salvadoran people have for Israel. It does not surprises me that Mr. Castellanos lent a hand to those people in their darkest hour.

i dont have the proof, but we were told the our grandparents were from israel , scape fron Germany , but they didnt like to talk about it, also they change LEIBA, for LEIVA, all they say is was a miracle, it was a secret because it wasnt 100% legal...i love isarael , i'm going next year on march....

Thanks for the interest in Glass House. There is an upcoming screening for diplomats and governmental agencies in Washington, D.C. in June - and a series of screenings in the Museum of Tolerance's brand new theater, in Los Angeles, in September. But, we haven't found a distributor yet - so we can't make DVD's available right now. I'll "reply" to your post again when DVDs are available.

Such an inspiring story, thank you so much for doing this documentary, not only this is a part of history a few people know, but as a salvadoran myself, it gives me proud to realize that this man decided to do this at his own risk to help as much as he could, and he is salvadoran too. It just goes to show that it only takes will, and heart to do great things.
