  • where did this voice come from??? why didn't he use it in the early Beatles days? that would've been sexy as fuck!

  • @chickenbutt6000 Oh Paul rocked it out in the early days. Long Tall Sally, I'm Down, Kansas City.. Yeah maybe he didn't get to be as soulful in the early days but he always had the voice and capability to sound the way he does here.

  • Is it me or Paul is just FUCKING SEXY ??!! O.O

  • @5rebbecca92 Not just you >< Paul's voice and stage-presence is just so great. =D

  • Best rock singer ever!!

  • Animals TOGETHER!!

  • the best part is 1.05!

  • @Mrmofongo624

For me, the best part is at 2:08... "Whoa, whoa". Wildlife is a great song that has gone underated for a long, long time. Paul's vocal is fantastic. He sings it with such strong emotion. And it's one of the earliest songs protesting the poor treatment of animals of which I am aware. A McCartney song with lyrics that can match the music (some critics say Paul's lyrics are always weak). I say - not so.

  • @aBeatleFan4ever I agree, Paul's lyrics arent weak. Its just that most of his songs arent serious, so they say the lyrics are not so good, but his lyrics are just different. Paul is a better songwriter now, he just keeps learning more writing styles and strategies. Paul is also a very funny in his music. lol

  • i really love this particular line up of wings, and the Rickenbacker bass,i wish he would still use it now...

  • Legend, but fancy only paying the band £70 a week.

  • @plasticgazzaband

i worked in the city of london as a shipping clerk three years later and my wage was 20 quid a week!! so bear that in mind.

  • @plasticgazzaband Paul was worth £2 million ,then, and they were sharing the same studio, stage,he let them down ,financially throughout 70s.For all that,I love Paul.

  • Wouldn't it be amazing if, on the archive re-issue of the Wings Wild Life album, he has a bonus DVD of this entire show ???

  • where did he get that voice?

  • @PhillyDippy5 He always had that voice, you just weren't listening hard enough

  • @Pat0B I just was listening hard enough, i'm a fan. I just meant that i love his voice.

  • I had this on VHS years ago - this was always my favorite bit. Paul's voice is just amazing. Great performance. This must exist in full somewhere, no??

  • @rindcorp1 he does this whole song live? Not just part of it?

  • Comment removed

  • @69MC97gc This I wrote.I know Paul still loves Linda.Paul will never forget Linda. He has said so himself.

  • is from the VHS Paul McCartney Special in 1986 not rare only out of print.

  • 6 people who watched this video have a small penis

  • @eduleon You have a small....who are the 5 others whose penises you have seen?

  • @69MC97gc Insert a finger in your ass and another in your mouth, and then exchange. Do this several times and you'll discover your true nature, son of a bitch.

  • @eduleon I have no idea what this is about.I would never write or even think of writing stuff like this. What the hell is going on?

  • @eduleon Does that apply to the women too? lol

  • I don`t know why critics talked that album down then. I think it is great.. What a song and what a voice.

  • @Gidoleinchen because back then music was different. now, we've been through so much of it, we can accept it. but like i said back then it wasn't "in"

  • youre breathing a lot of political nonsense in the air..... is that aimed at John?

  • @09jpick No, I wouldn't think so. This song is about environmental issues.

  • This has so sttod the test of time. Brilliant!

  • Yes indeed no musician can play bass an sing this way . . . .

  • This genius and John Lennon were the best singers ever.

  • @leaperfish I totally agree with your comment.

  • Why do people always ask if McCartney can sing his Wings/solo material, but never ask that question about his Beatle material?

If McCartney can stand up night after night and scream Helter Skelter he can sing anything else he wants!!

McCartney should be performing much more of his post Beatles material!

  • Someone needs to grab McCartney, shake him and let him know that he should be performing this fantastic music right now!

The Beatle heavy setlist has gotten old, it's way past time for more Wings and solo material.

  • @thumbsaloft Do you think he could still sing like this? I'm sorry, but no way.

  • @kevin4peace you are right.....although pauls voice is still good and enjoyable the effects of age and the wear and tear on his voice was inevitable. I have been listening to his music since 1964 and his voice is definately not as good as it was in this old film clip......but then again, this is to be expected as anyone ages....actors, sports figures etc. Even with his older voice now I would rather listen to him than 95% of the new crap

  • Where is the REST of this Amazing concert? LIVE Wings Video from this era is scarce,,,,cmon release the entire concert!

  • @DavelovesRealMusic Hopefully it will be in the "archive" edition of Red Rose Speedway when it comes out.

  • This is the early 1970s which i do love...All is about amazed,,,even the Simpson episode. After 1969 McCartney came 1970 and RAM,.The first Band album ,the one which in hindsight even to the then know-it-all is called a gem .....Wild Life which was dissed, and yet have so many beautiful songs.Red Rose Speedway and Power Cut and of course My Love.

  • This is the early 1970s

  • This is 1970.

  • @69MC97gc Probably 1972 but definitely not 1970

  • powerful song...

  • I am going to see this living legend tonight for the first and most likely last time in my life... can't wait!

  • great song, great underated albumn...love it!

  • This song makes me sad, it is one of those amazing songs ( in the Beatles and Paul McCartney, Lennon, Harrison, Starr that is so underrated it makes me want to kill someone.(you)

  • great video,,)

  • The song is AMAZING & I love McCartney's sideburns! hehe

  • moi j'aime pas les chanteurs qui font de la pop et qui crient plus qu'ils ne chantent !! Si encore c'était du punk d'accord mais là c'est censé être de la musique calme et audible, donc la voix qui déraille c'est bof quand même .

  • I love this song

  • In the same way Yoko got John into political causes in the early seventies, Linda encouraged Paul to support ecological causes - way before it was mainstream to do so. He's never credited with being radical in his own way.

  • @WilburyVision totally agree about this side of Paul not getting credit. I think it's the way his family reproduces rapidly though that sort of negates it.

I do like the fact he buys land to turn into wildlife sanctuaries though.

He could end up putting his great grandchildrend there.

Oh, and I love Paul's look in this video

  • Excellent quality footage and they sound very rehearsed. These would have been some great shows to see.

  • Трудная жизнь! Очень трудная и сейчас. А Paul - всегда super .

  • Full Circle

  • 1:06 FTW

  • Os melhores momentos de Sir Paul McCartney após os Beatles certamente foram no Wings com Denny Laine e Linda! Grande Interpretação!!!

  • Paul Mccartney takes 3 chords, and manages to make you cry.

  • DAMN! HE IS SEXY IN CHEST! :)

  • McCartney's most underrated album to date. There are some real solid tracks on this LP and for anyone who wants to listen to his pure vocal ability, this might be the one to listen to.

    Paneeks/Boston

  • Thank you.Wild Life...what Ever happens to---this was also recorded when the nucleus of WINGs was formed. in Scotland where Paul and Linda were hiding in a small cottage somewhere in hee mountains of Scotsmen...The pipes are not ready yet...

  • This wouldn't be a bad one for him to pull out for his current live show.

  • MCartney is v.underated. John would have liked this xx

  • Can't agree - I think it's a great album. Tomorrow and Dear Friend get me every time. It's a bit rough & ready but it's good that way. I wouldn't say the same about all the Wings albums but this is probably my favourite. I do find it hard to find people who agree with me - most people think Wings are shit and half of the people that like 'em think Wild Life is shit. It's a lonely life being a Wings fan!

  • I was there at the Liverpool empire Amazing

  • this is absolutely superb. mccartney is absolutely awesome.... with a vital message

  • The problem with the album 'Wild Life' was simply its utter mediocrity. I like this track actually, and 'Dear Friend' is even better, but the rest apart from "Some People Never Know" is awful.

I know. I'm actually listening to it now.

  • awful??

    - mumbo

    - wild life

    - dear friend

    - tomorrow

    - Some People Never Know

album record live (except a 2nd guitar), in 2 weeks, I don't find it's an awful record

    ok, RAM is better, but...

  • @sheffbhoy You forget the song tomorrow, the 3rd best song of the album after wild life and Dear friend (the best of McCa solo).

  • Wow, this made me see that Wild Life is kind of a good song. And the live backing vocals - spot on! Wings was a good band, especially by today's standards of singers-who-can't-sing.

  • this is amazing

  • This VIDEO is part of a VHS mcCartney tape no longer in print..this isnt a rare home movie.....the VHS does NOT have anymore of this rare conccert on it either..I am sure PAUL has it.....COme on Paul--release this concert!!

  • King of rock!

  • great voice !

  • Fuck, McCartney's voice is amazing here!

The band sounds loud and raw too

  • @SandozSaxonWilliams His voice had a great raw quality from like The White Album through Ram.

  • @RichYan33

the ending of "Back Seat Of My Car"!....er ah LOOK OUT!

Not to mention one of the least known, GREATEST SONGS EVER

    Back Seat Of My Car

ps...hope you read up on these commments Paul if your having trouble putting a set list together...and get a nice, raw, and unpolished band as well.

    Now that would be something!

  • @SandozSaxonWilliams yeah, his voice is amazing in this and the band sounds great. To sound that good "live" is astonishing....Paul is amazing

  • @SandozSaxonWilliams McCartney's voice is amazing here, there and everywhere.

  • A MUSICAL GOD

  • This is an awesome song. It's totally Paul and his wings stuff was the best. He definitely deserved more credit for his work then but they didn't. He is a genius.

  • This song goes for Copenhagen for Climategate. This song should be the theme

  • It's always Paul that doesn't get credit for his innovation in music and concerts

  • I'd love to see\hear this whole concert. Interesting to see the big-screen back projection - I didn't think that had been used at concerts as far back as 1973 - is that another McCartney innovation that he doesn't get credit for?

  • WOW! fantastic video. I love this song.

  • I have to get a copy of this concert

  • I just finished reading the book "Band on the run". Paul went through a lot during the Wings years. Press criticized his music terribly. He should be given credit because he didnt use the same Beatles formula, he reinvented himself and his music.

  • Nicolas- you might like "Can't Buy me Love" by Jonathan Gould, lots of Beatles history going back to the Mersey days

  • WHERE is the full length video of this concert?? Can't believe it hasn't turned up after all these years

  • best lennon song he didnt write

  • Lennon had nothing to do with this song - that is a fact.

  • Comment removed

  • hello, look at a question. as the name of this concert?

    thanks for the video

  • Wow, fantastic footage! :-) THis made me so happy :-)

  • It sounds very similar to Al Kooper "I love you babe, more than you'll ever know" .... but I still love this song ....

  • to johnLennon100: speaking of songs that sound like other songs.......listen to the song "stewball....possibly spelled "stew ball".....a very old public domain folk tune about a race horse. If you are a big Lennon fan.....this song (stew ball) will sound "quite familiar"

  • ahhh so good! soo goood

  • mi padre y sus borrarecheras son parte de esta cancion.... jejejeje

  • what a good feeling ! if you compare with everly brothers may be a source of insparition

  • love that Linda look.....what i remember of the early 70's

  • 最高だね

    from Japan

  • Comment removed

  • Ain't nobody can sing like that

  • TO COMMENT BELOW . . YES I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, I DID THE SAME WITH MARC BOLAN AND PAUL McCARTNEY ALL THOSE YEARS AGO . .IN FACT WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT . . I STILL DO!

  • When i was young, my big brother would mime the whole song, his face would contort in agony as he tried to keep up with the frantic sounds coming from mc cartney's mouth, i sat transfixed, not believing that he could possibly remember all of the lyrics, but as i grew older i too did the exact same thing to my first son, a genius..... Yes. Understated and generally forgotten in his post Beatle years by the general public...... thanks Paul

  • Im waiting for more then 20 years when I saw this footage for the first time to see this entire concert released, come on MPL!!!

  • I didn't know Linda played guitar lol

  • hahahahaha

  • Now that's a Post - thanks!

  • love the vocal on this. Excellent song. EVERYONE needs to revisit Wings--really great group--whatever the line up :)

  • I agree. I think Wings was one of the best bands of the '70s. They were not appreciated as much as they should have been, always being compared to The Beatles. I saw them in concert and they were great.

  • cut down the forest who cares about the wild life the animals who live there they have no right no voice. man is all about building progress it only take five minutes to cut down a tree that took a life time to grow

  • Awesome !!! :)

  • Agreed !

  • People who expected another Hey Jude clearly missed the point of this era. This song gets better with age as does all Wings stuff. Bono of U2 was telling Paul how much people are really listening and liking the Wings catalog and not the just the hits. Wings was a massive hits band but the really great gems are tracks like this and ballads like Warm And Beautiful among countless others and even more not released. Ed

  • What a GREAT rock-n-roll voice!!!!!!

    Wow!!!!

  • I just LOVE this song.

Wild Life is one of his best albums.

  • One of the first animal rights songs.

  • Paul is so cool!! :D

  • I love this song and the album

  • damn what a voice...

  • Why are all the pictures in the video if its a CONCERT

  • very bluesy...the album version is over 6 minutes long. I like the way McCartney says "aminal" instead of "animal" (on the record).

  • This is absolutely amazing! Love it love it love it!

  • I Love it great thank you.

  • Wild Life was not a great commercial success and perhaps not the Album like RAM. The song Wild Life is not only one of the premiere songs of the endangered animal kingdom but the harmonies in this song are brilliant! The Wild Life album I like as much as Red / Rose Speedway!!

  • denny seiwell always play like hes very buring !!!!

  • i loce so much this song.......... great Mccartney !!

  • You there? Same scarecrow irishman hippie face, same high pitch voice, same harmonies... then compare these two songs, almost the same 3/4 bass line fills and a very very similar riddim, groove and harmonies, same feeling on the lead vocal too. The question is: Are Paul McCullough and Henry Mc Cartney by any chance brothers in law?

  • See the guitarist facing Dennis Laine and then check the Tube for a vd of Jo Cocker back in Woodstock singing "With a Little Help From Me Frienz"(can I mantion my mate's channel?: ianhawdon) Then look at the guitarist, not the bass player, but that Nino Ferrer looking dude doing harmonies standing left to the Cock...

  • Why life?

  • Best voice ever.

  • @vsherman Best MUSICIAN ever, as a matter of fact.

  • i wish paul would just do a huge concert for the environment. he could get alot of people to play with him on that one. the people could choose what environmental charity the money from their ticket would go.

  • This is from one of Wings' European summer tour concerts of 1972 - NOT 1973. For the record. A great time...

  • c qui l epouvantail à l orgue?

  • This world would be much better if people like you commited suicide. That " scarecrow " is a woman who fought against people like you and against the press and critics and also fought for animal rights. RESPECT, PEOPLE!

  • Bluebird Lovely Linda, Linda May.. yes she was mam, but bearing scars like the rest of us.. nicolasonnn is ringing a bell, let him in.

  • Im Waiting for a rope!

  • (...)the scared cow?

  • Paul looks so hot in that outfit lol :)

  • Great performance. Wings was a great live band. It's funny, I love this song and it gets no airplay whatsoever.

  • Very prophetic for today.

    Great Album and Song.

  • GORGEOUS Paul!

  • i did....

  • i like the chick in the bikinni...i'd bone that babe

  • The epitome of male beauty= Paul MACCA

  • great song n amazing vocals by the genius

  • Thanks for posting this. I don't have to dig out my "Paul McCartney Special" VHS tape to see this and Hi Hi Hi!

  • 'AMINALS'?!

  • Yeah, he does that on the album too.

  • Why?.

  • when paul started again was not easy for him. He was subestimated by a lot of miths, But he centanly has shown who is who or who was who in the beatels and solo

  • Amazing song and a very underrated album.

  • One of the best.

  • I agree, "Wild Life" is one of my favorite Wings albums. That, and "Red Rose Speedway".

  • Red Rose is my fav Paul album. Very overlooked. Glad there are other fans of the Speedway!

  • Single Piegon Is A Great Song Its Only Down Fall Was That It Was To Short, The Piano Break In The Middle When The Trumpets Come In Great, McCartney Is My Favorate Artist, Speedway Is Not My Favorate Album But Its Still Great, Made Up You Like It, Theres A Good Booklet In The Original lp Aswell ( Ive Got It ) All My McCartney Albums Are Original The Whole Collection Even The Fireman lps And I Have Also Got ( Thrillington ) Whitch Is Hard To Get On lp These Days.

  • amazing song! and I love when all the lights go off
