  • wooooohooooo......awesome collections.....luv it!!!!

  • Did you know the master tape to this album is gone forever.

Ya just try to find this song anywhere.

Please let me know if you find it.

You have a jewel here. How much ya want for the album?

If I remember correctly, Gary is only 16 years old in this version.

    I was there. NS!

  • @albenia1935 thanks for thinking i have a jewel here, because always i thinking the same!!!, i don't think the master tape is gone forever because REO Speedwagon edited the first and the second album in one edition Audio CD - Jul 23, 2007!!! You can find it in the famous store on line!!! WOW very cool story that you was there!!!

  • @albenia1935 BTW I knew Reo Speedwagon awesome music!!!, when i hear In Your Letter!!! in the radio station sounded a lot in my country in 1983, and was as well as in the decade of the 80's i buyed Hi Infidelity!!! and Wheels Are Turnin' also!!! and when i had two excellent albums, i decided investigate what the band had done in the 70's, and I remember one day buy three albums without knowing who was buying his first album...

  • this is great. REO really went down the eighties commercial path.

  • HMMM I wonder......I wonder what this song would sound like

if ZZ Top did it? Interesting thought.HMMMM

  • Oh my I can't stand REO . . . 'cept this LP:-)

  • The original REO was the best ever.....pure Rock "n Roll....

  • I have this album on vinyl

  • @jeffyist very cool! me too!, We are an exclusive club of the few collectors who still have it!!!

  • @jeffyist I have too it's awesome isn't it?

  • this is REO at its best.Kevin Cronin ruined a great rock band with his love ballads. He even has the nerve to tour and call his self REO with no original members, including his self. For one thing ,no Gary Rickrath -no REO.case closed.

  • what year was that performed live? and where was it performed? That I need to know

  • Love it so much that I play 157 in the PICK3 every day. Also play 714. Figure that one out!!

  • Thanks for showing the actual pic of their first album which I bought in 1971(back then I bought like 10 albums of various bands every 2 weeks,a practice that is long gone one me,and I don't have any of those albums anymore)

  • Love this song.

  • what i would say is.....You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish,HEY>>>does anyone out there have REO's first or second album that has the song Out of control on it ?

  • @brseeger1964 Out of control is a song from This Time We Mean It, is the fifth album by REO Speedwagon.

  • @brseeger1964 Yes I have it, it's an old Eagles song

  • you have most of their good albums but you dont have This time we mean it. not that it is good or anything but its in the collection.

  • @BluesectorA i don't have This Time We Mean It abum but if I have the CD, I remember that when i buy the first LP recorded by REO Speedwagon, was also see in the store the album to which you refer, that day i buy three REO Speedwagon abum between them including the first album they recorded, which I think many people don't have, so I don't regret having decided for the first because is a golden album for me, here always album, CD, DVD, and other thing cost the triple than price in the U.S.

  • This rocks :-)

  • Geat song!

  • here's a great LIVE version of this (yes, with this original lineup)

    watch?v=3QXHhgM_zW8

    thanks for posting this song!

  • great music. too bad there aren't a lot of artists around now who know what that is.... sad, really.

  • My sister was a waitress at the Red Lion Inn, Bloomington Ill. REO was a college band in late 71 from Champaign/Urbana. My sister had to work and babysit me as well. I hung out in the kitchen area of the bar. I remember it was real loud. Later, when Cronin came aboard the band chemistry really came together. I was 16 when High Infidelity came out, REO would return to Champaign every 2 years, parts of the stage rotated around so every seat was a great view. It was a great homecoming. Gary

  • This is awesome. I knew somebody had to have the original. Nothing better than this. Thanks

  • thank you!!, Yeah indeed it is one of my priceless treasures of my collection and remember that I bought in 1986 not knowing it was REO's first album, after having Hi Infidlity and Wheels Are Turnin 'in the 80s, I decided to investigate more recordings had the band and buy three albumn including the first album by REO Speedwagon and it really is a wonderful thing for me because I am a big collector of his music and not everyone can say they have the original album like me and really is amazing!!

  • Terry Luttrell on vocals! great band!

  • I love the A Decade of Rock n Roll version

  • Big REO fan, hearing there original versions brings back soooo many memories it is almost enough to make me cry.

  • What album is this studio version, of 157 Riverside, from?

  • 157 Riverside Avenue on studio's on the first album published in 1971, Called REO Speedwagon!!! the same name of the band, is a collector's album!!!!!!!! however they recently published the first and second album of REO Speedwagon on one CD!!!!!!!

  • Cool that Terry Lutrell sang for Starcastle too...

This album God lots of play on my turntable back in the day...

  • Nice! I call myself an REO fanatic, but I don't have any original albums or tapes.

  • would you happen to have You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish... and if so, would you mind uploading the Unidentified Flying Tuna Trot? There is only a drum cover for this one and it is an awesome little jam! Thanks. REO 4ever!

  • Dude, you know there is footage out there of REO performing this on a TV program, in fact, they do a few songs from this disk, that era! Like how you go up the disks. I first heard REO on 8 track, Live,Y.G.W.Y.P.F., in a 78 Mustang 2. Went back to first one, then every disk there after. Neal and Gary played great off one another in the early days, I'd love to hear other tunes off this disk, can't find it on CD. Have it on cassette tho, from the record. Thanks!

  • Where is the live version from. Cuz i know it's with Dave Amato, I just can't put my finger on where it's from.

  • The live version begins immediately after the studio and is recorded on the European tour of REO Speedwagon!!!!!!! made in Sweden in 2007!!!!!!!Of Course Dave Amato play lead Guitar!!!

  • Where is the live version from? Cuz it doesn't sound like its from the Live:You get what you play for album.

  • Because nobody plays guitar like Gary Richrath !!!!!!!I love YOU GET WHAT YOU PLAY FOR, is the best live album of REO Speedwagon!!!!!!!

  • Great Video I LOVE REO SPEEDWAGON!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you very much WIGBLAKE!!!, I LOVE R.E.O. SPEEDWAGON

too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 26 signs of an admiration for each year that I have heard this wonderful music and wonderful dream called REO SPEEDWAGON!!!!!!!

  • Long live REO
