this account is my sons. I dont have my own. I remember sitting at home that afternoon when Mansel was with ferrari and he announced his retirement. oh and in answer to another comment. Loads of others have trained and worked harder than Hamilton like Rubens, Button who i dont mind, Alonso, Kimi and Schumi etc. I dont snipe I just air my opinions same as everyone else. @FM5KR6F2007 Mansell was a legend, he's the guy that inspired me to take up racing and still my all time favorite driver. But Hamilton, his dad worked 3 jobs to support his career and he'd won 2 karting titles, the Sky masters series, 2 MB future champs series & the Autopsort driver of the year award BEFORE getting help off anyone.

Every driver on the grid has got to F1 via huge sponsor backing(Webber), rich parents(Button), or via driver development programs(Schimu/Alonso/Ham/Vet­tel ect)

And dont forget Rosberg & Piquet who have world champion fathers, so to argue that Ham hasn't worked as hard as anyone else is just ignorance. Even when Mclaren signed him, they also signed Jamie Green, who is now a Merc DTM driver.

Watch the vid 'GP Spa 2008 Alsonso last lap' and see how many cars Alonso overtakes in the last 4 corners of the race on the last lap, not a single 1 defended position as they were on drys, he was on wets.

It's just sour grapes from bitter haters who think Glock did anything wrong, he actually gained 2 places with his gamble, and he posted an identical final lap time to Trulli.

Im aware of renault's involvement but they werent really important that year cos they were nobodies. Hamilton was thrown into the deep end from the start. @FM5KR6F2007 Perhaps you missed the small matter of Hamilton starting last season with the slowest car on the grid, some 3.5seconds per lap off the pace, and it having numerous downforce issues and development problems? It's a credit to Hamilton & Mclaren that they got the results they did.

Why should a driver who has won every single series below F1 at the 1st or 2nd attempt be forced to have a season at the back? Thats a ridiculous suggestion, he's worked as hard as any driver on the grid.

I think it was as well that Raikkonen wasn't really central to the story of the season, he just put together a strong second half while McLaren were imploding and came through the middle.

The camera work in F1 during the races and qualifying (ie, not including the pre-race, post race show footage from each broadcaster; that's their own work) are all controlled and edited by Forumula 1 themselves. Broadcasters simply pay for the rights to transmit those images. Thefore, nothing during the quali and race will change!

yh i know that f1 is done by a world feed i have no issues with that its just the way that the PRE-RACE build up is done, itv do it very well, and that from looking at moto gp race build up its done so badly with little co-ordinatoion they atempt to make it look "COOL" but obviously the director of the shots is completely out of touch of what the audience of the sport wants and expects, well presented race build up and wit f1 movving to bbc i just hope the same doesnt happen and yes keep brundle
