  • I can see some of these things opening up a whole new can of worms with malware and hackers..

  • You guys are super awesome alright. I'll give you that. However, you should seriously consider making videos widescreen and HD. For all that coolness, come on!

  • What I don't get is why these videos are broken up into 10 minute hunks. I mean it is a Google channel on a Google owned site.

  • That's a very good point.

  • guess theres some kind of rule whitch makes you not make videos longer than 10min, and to do so you need to change to coading and its not worth doing it (what im guessing) else yes its stupid ^^

  • I only mentioned it because many of the other Google channel like googletechtalks and AtGoogleTalks have longer video lengths. Also, youtube partner channels can post longer videos too. I think it just an account setting and the coding is already is in place.

  • well maybe and correct me if im wrong, this may be like my account(user account not companie account) but i give it this name and il upload google thingies.

im not sure but maybe thats why.

  • Sorry I think if you want to upload >10min videos you have to become a "Youtube Partner". That something you have to apply for and meet their requirements. Which include the videos being yours and having sizable traffic on your videos. It's also cool because you can get a share of the ad revenue.

The point I was making in my original post was that this channel is Google material provided by Google itself and should be able to post >10 min segments.

  • sry i blame my english, i totaly understoud what i mean i was giving an ezample..what if this user isnt a google user?

cant it be someone who created an account named googledevelopers and uploads things realated?

  • So HTML5 is offering some of the same capabilities with its app cache and database as what was previously available as Google Gears.

  • Where is sound tag?

  • audio tag

  • Interesting idea. I guess it'd be harder to implement a sound tag since it would probably require an playback control interface. I don't think it'd be wise for HTML to allow "invisible" sounds to run at page load.

  • I'm sure there will be a setting in the browser to block sounds from a webistes.

Personally, I can see sereval good reasons why to allow "invisible" sound
