@ lekrasuhaki: You may want to find as many flaws as possible in each and every thing around you. But the ad is about conveying the idea, that rather than treating the Voting day as just another holiday, go out and vote.

And thats what Mumbai did this year I guess. People there chose a long weekend from Thursday - Sunday over voting. That's the kind of set of people, this ad is targetted at.

And you say that all parties suck and the real challenge is someone from crowd should come out and start his own party. Lot many years ago, thats how all the political parties were formed but you still refuse to vote for them. Whats the guarantee that you will vote for a new party that is formed.

So why not get out of the crowd and form your own. To bring the change, you have to be part of the change!

@ amazingIndians: The problem IS of NOT voting! Its always been. Look at the way the voting percentage is declining Look at the percentage of how Mumbai voted this year despite all the talks of "we need a change after 26/11". They preferred a long weekend over voting. And this is what this ad projects. That people just treat Voting Day as just another holiday and instead plan an outing rather than exercise their right.

India does not have patriotic people and all they can do is watch movies,sing songs ,dance and go to sleep..

ya i find this guy in the ad annoying..this guy is portrayed as a dada who is kind of bullying ppl to make them vote..if in real life someone tries this he wud get 4 tight slaps so don't try it in real life lol..ya the purpose behind the ad is good but all politicians are the same greedy n corrupt so whoever wins the elections its the same fate janta faces

Not really! because

1. You can decide to vote to none of the candidates in case all the candidates are bad

2. If you vote regularly parties would get candidates that suit your taste and I assume your taste is an "honest" candidate; surely they will.

3. The reason why we have goons as candidates is because they are good at attracting illiterate people - think mate.

I feel everyone should watch this ad atleast once. It's really inspiring.

yeah even I hope so. The turnout has always been low from the urban areas and this ad specifically target ppl like us. I did vote last time and m even more determined to practice my right to vote this time :)
