Correcting myself, Zojja's voice actor is the girl from "The Guild" just cross-referenced the name. On another note, for some reason I was sort of expecting Caithe's VA to be British, but I'm guessing she is simply talented with bringing that accent to the table.

The VA for Zojja reminds me of that girl who was in that fan made MMO series called "The Guild." Before Steve Blum explained it near the end, I was baffled to see them all the same room doing their lines. As we all know, voice acting is a lonely job, they go to a booth, and do their lines solo. But this is news to me that for MMO's they can do a joint session thing. Has got to be much more fun for the VA's though.

Even though I am a huge fan for WoW, I really do hope GW2 will be something better. The story won't take the big chunk of wow players off of their addiction, it has to have something that will keep the veteran players constantly doing something new. No more expansion packs simply bringing new quest, dungeons/raids, and the same content that was released previously. "Hey I'm Deathwing and I'm a really really hard raid thats just newer and better than the Lich King :D"

I thought Kari was just a nobody they hired off the streets until I wiki'd her. Jesus christ, I would have never guessed some of the roles she's played. Ashe from ff12? Raine from Tales of Symphonia? Funny enough, I read the book with these characters before I even saw this video, thus I had my own ideas of how the characters would sound. They really picked the perfect crew for this, though I had a much different voice in mind for Rytlock, something more beastial and fiery, where Steve sounds low and contained. Also, where's Eir?

My biggest worry: I'm not seeing the more playful, upbeat nature of the characters I saw in the book. Hopefully they get over the hero malarky and cut loose.

Rytlock and Logan and everyone but caithe and zojja's dialogue sounded way too playful and campy to fit these voices. I hope they don't even use the novel as a blueprint for what EoD dialogue would sound like. Reading Logan and Rytlock's incredibly innapropriate and cliche banter was the worst part of the book for me. Just my opinion, though.

@gd567890dA micro transactions, from more character slots to vanity items and pets and who know what, there are countless things they can offer... just take world of warcraft and league of legends for example.. alot of people buy pets/mounts/skins.. it should be no problem for them to make money and keep the game free for those that are not interested in purchasing things they dont really need

It's set to maximize revenue, using a demand curve to choose a price most people will pay for. Monthly fees (and thus item shop sales) are pretty much 99% profit.
