@mrgreer51 Your welcome Bro .... i must of listen to your famliys music half the day ::D you all are so talented May The Lord Jesus Bless you all so much more 10 fold and over ... I can't wait to here more of your stuff :)
Sure wished I was part of this wonderful family. Love the music. Keep it up and have lots of fun doing it. You all look so happy playing and singing. Would be really nice to see you folks live, but I cant travel, so this is the best I can do to hear your wonderful music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, we don't use tabs or music. We do everything by ear. However, I am certain that you can find sheet music for most of these songs. Just google the name of the tune and search a bit.
I am glad you like our music. We are just amateurs having fun, but I am certainly glad that we are able to help. Feel free to download any of our stuff if you want to. And thank you for your service to our country!!!!
just wanted to say u guys are awesome, really enjoy your music here!!! got a request,if u will, will you do golden slippers for m here, would love to hear you all do this one!! thks, keep on picking here!!! rod
You can do ANYTHING on a viola! Gatemouth Brown plays the blues on one, and a lot of celtic folk people play them as well as American roots and bluegrass musicians. You just need to mic it well because it's softer than a fiddle/violin.
Yes, open tuning on this one: GDAE. We do use an alternate tuning for "Black Mountain Rag," however. I don't know what the notes are. I just know how they sound when I tune it. I can figure it out if you need to know.
dear Mrgreer51:what a bless you got from the lord.,a very beautifull family.and a wonderfull talent.,thanks alot for this beautifull sharing.,you guys are just great playing so meny differents music instruments!.plus your daugters are awesome!greetings from brooklyn,ny.,god bless your intire family.,amen amen
us music lovers here, man she would be great in our country band playing squareddancing, and old 50-60 country music, keep up the good work ,you music lovers do really good.
She's 23, and she has been playing since she was eight. She has never had a lesson. We just turned off the TV and sat around each evening, figuring it out the best we could.
I loved this! I am new to fiddle playing, do you have the music to this written down at all? I'd love to learn Ragtime Annie! I have the version in the Fiddler's Fakebook but it doesn't have any of the double stops or anything
I'd love to help you, but we do everything by ear. Every fiddle player I know plays this one, and they all play it a bit different, with the exception of the ones who take lessons. Some of them play it exactly the same. Anyway, this is not a hard song to do by ear, so listen a few times and go for it!
Like the new background Phil! Is it because you are so happy that you make good music or does the music make you happy? Either way, keep the great videos coming!
Nice job, But,hey, Where's Emily's hat?

That was nice of you to reply. I have admired your music on YOUTUBE. I may ask for help on tuning later.
Is it hard to tune back and forth in different open tunings when you are jamming?
You look like you are having fun. Thanks again!

Do you play in open tuning? If so, which key? Thanks so much.
