  • You two are great. Keep it up.

  • Great folks! Thumbs up, five stars and many greetings from ol Germany,

    OldPicker

  • do you have like music sheets or tabs for the songs

  • Sorry, we don't use tabs or music. We do everything by ear. However, I am certain that you can find sheet music for most of these songs. Just google the name of the tune and search a bit.

  • Gee this is great! Thanks for posting!

  • this is amazing !!! i am learning it and i cant figure it out how long did it take you to learn it ?

  • Not very long, really. Everything we do is rather simple, so stay with it and you will get it.

  • Mr Greer, you and your family are doing great things for this countryboy stuck in Iraq, your music really brings me home!!!

What a blessing it is to hear this awesome bluegrass music!!

  • can i have your daughter's hand in marriage?

I play fiddle, mandolin, guitar, drums, bass, and I'd love to join the family!

  • You're too late. They both got married in '08.

  • Lol. She is so good at the violin

  • lovely music - and that fiddle music is fantastic

  • This is awesome, i love American folk music.

  • hi ho silver away! love this vid its a goodun!

  • your one of the best fiddle players ive ever heard. my uncle was an old time fiddle player in ava mo,and you sound a lot like him

  • How SWEET!

  • Bravo, bravísimo that fiddle.

  • good on ya !

  • hey do you know if you can do that sort of stuff on the viola that was really good i would love to do things like that so so so so much!!!

  • You can do ANYTHING on a viola! Gatemouth Brown plays the blues on one, and a lot of celtic folk people play them as well as American roots and bluegrass musicians. You just need to mic it well because it's softer than a fiddle/violin.

  • Love it!! Music in the garden... sublime.

  • That was nice of you to reply. I have admired your music on YOUTUBE. I may ask for help on tuning later.

Is it hard to tune back and forth in different open tunings when you are jamming?

You look like you are having fun. Thanks again!

  • Do you play in open tuning? If so, which key? Thanks so much.

  • Yes, open tuning on this one: GDAE. We do use an alternate tuning for "Black Mountain Rag," however. I don't know what the notes are. I just know how they sound when I tune it. I can figure it out if you need to know.

  • Oh man, that is great!!!!!!

  • As Kemosobby would say to Tonto, nice job music lovers!

  • SUPER!!!SUPERB..from an old music lover......... (fiddler)

  • wonderful\(^0^)/

It seems to be very happy.

    I am Japanese.

    I like acoustic guitars.

When it can enjoy the guitar in the family, it is the highest.

  • Levellers Do This Sooo Much Better

    But Thats Boss =]

  • I don't know what that means, but that's employee. :)

  • how old is the girl playing the fiddle and how long has she been playing for?

  • She's 23, and she has been playing since she was eight. She has never had a lesson. We just turned off the TV and sat around each evening, figuring it out the best we could.

  • Love the "William Tell" bridge! Very original! Awesome fiddling!

  • Very well played! 5 stars

  • Awesome. Wish I had a fiddle player to play with. My grandpa was an awesome fiddle player god rest his soul!

    Thanks!

  • GREAT job!! :-) you guys are rockin!!! love the tune

  • This was the opening to a radio show my dad use to have. Played nice and fast. Great job.

  • You are so WELCOME music players. OMG, that was GREAT! I love watching your videos. Those two songs fit so nicely well together....lol

  • cool, nice tune

  • I loved this! I am new to fiddle playing, do you have the music to this written down at all? I'd love to learn Ragtime Annie! I have the version in the Fiddler's Fakebook but it doesn't have any of the double stops or anything

  • I'd love to help you, but we do everything by ear. Every fiddle player I know plays this one, and they all play it a bit different, with the exception of the ones who take lessons. Some of them play it exactly the same. Anyway, this is not a hard song to do by ear, so listen a few times and go for it!

  • ah yes, a classic fiddle tune! haha. with some added fun! haha.

  • I like the horse that is running around in the background!

  • Ha ha I love that bridge! Good Job! Keep them coming.

  • Like the new background Phil! Is it because you are so happy that you make good music or does the music make you happy? Either way, keep the great videos coming!

  • That's my front yard. Behind us is a portion of our tick ranch.
