I have never actually shot a buff but I have shot litterally dozens of cattle with a 22LR and 22Mag at a range of 10 - 15 meters for food. Yes they were in a paddock and couldn't run off but they all dropped dead with only 1 shot. They must be shot square on in the forhead dead centre about 100mm abover their eye line. This said I would never ever hunt wild animals with a 22, I would at least use my 8mm Mag or 375H&H. I do not believe the first 5 bullets hit the vital zone period.

Stalking is part of shooting in itself... these guys just walk up to it and shoot it in its face... yes.. they are using large calibers.. but when it comes down to it... Using a solid round behind the ear or towards the lung from the distance where these clowns are shooting you should be able to drop it in 1 round if not by the second....

@pentergraph thats what i'm saying though, in this situation, the one in the video, if you don't hit it exactly right the first time, like they didn't, its hard to make another shot exactly right because now its moving and bouncing around, and the more experience you have the easier it is like for someone like you but still not all bulls are the same, here in Hawaii iv heard many stories of professional arial shooters having to hitting bulls 20 or more times in the head with 12 gauge slugs

We have these feral cattle on some of the islands past Dutch Harbor Alaska .

The Cattle had been placed their during WW-2 for meat for the military bases .

Now these cattle have gone wild and are so mean they take on look at a person they are charging you.

The bull does not charge until AFTER they start to shoot. I own a .375 H&H. With solids a .375 is capable of going clean THROUGH an elephants skull with a side shot. I think it's quite capable of penetrating this bulls skull - lol. What you have here is two scared kids - nothing more.
