I think they did a great job. Like someone else said, how many bands of that era still have so much energy when playing live nowadays? Steve Morse is a great fit.
i seen this deep purple in 1997 here in atlanta, i thought we,d have the place to ourself, was i fooled, it was jam packed, A GOODconcert, but, alas, jon lord had organ trouble, i told the sound guy, turn it up man,, finally they got it kinda together, steve morris is a good guy, no comparison to blackmore, who has fire and real genious, no one equals blackmore and jon lord,, the real roots of purple,, blackmore, the best ever, so evident in all he does..
saw the REAL purple back in the 80's. They were the greatest of all time. This lot are a total embarrassment to the name who should slink away quietly into the night.
both don ayrey and Steve morse are completely different from lord and Blackmore...this is not deep purple....this is just a Deep Purple Cover Band.......their playing hasn't got any feeling and it doesn't impress me.....I play both organ and guitar and I often cry when I here Jon Lord and I often scream when I play Blackmore's solos.....sorry, you're great musician but you're just different..and I hate you.-..sorry....DEEP PURPLE 4 EVER

It's sure that the best sound of deep purple was in 70-80s but today, they make good things too.

Peinlich I would play it better than Airey. He´s
not good in improvisation. Fast playing is not good playing;its acrobatic ...Lord was the best!
ps. and Blackmore

where is Jon Lord and why he is off the band? :(

John has been retired for several years. Deep Purple is a cover band without Blackmore and Lord.

Wow, looks like Don Airey has got a new organ. Last year he was playing on a black chopped C3, this one looks to be a Hammond B3.
