My lab is 5 months get him big ears and make him sit quietly while eating it I get one all the time and he sits right on his pillow and by the way I need help my dog is 5 months old and can go about 4 stairs but not like 20 is this normal for his age
buy her lots of different toys coz she's a young puppy it's natural that she bites to help her go through teething and boredom. Tell her off when she does it to you and encourage with toys instead.
with my lab u cant walk by her without her biting ur feet its vicios and if u lay down on thwe ground se attacks your ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 it hurts!!!
he was killing the toy in his prey drive (playing as seen by us)....so next time he wants to go at your feet dont let them move to become a toy and communicate with him that they're not a toy.
male dogs do take longer that females to train... but when you come home take them out immediately to the SAME spot ever time to go to the bathroom along with a potty command and when they go there praise them like no tomorrow (pet them, treats. like they are the best dog in the WORLD...) when they have an accident take them to that same spot outside and tell them the command you use for potty (the same command every time). Your dog is going to think your crazy....
WOW all I have to do is pee ...HERE... and I get treated like a king!! What a deal!! Repeat and repeat!! this is how a dog learns :) I have trained Oz to ring the bell when he has to go outside to the bathroom :)
my dad said that he trained him by everytime he did something good he gave my dog lab bailey a treat and if she was bad he would slightly flick her nose she learned by like idk about 1 year? im guessin or actually it was 4 months sorry
puppy pads are bad they have a chemical that makes the dog want to piss and poo on it but it actually only encouraging him to pee and poo in the house! take him/her out as soon as they wake up and hour or two after they eat and before you go to bed
LOL...that's exactly what my new little puppy does. Redirect his biting onto a toy, or walk away from him. He'll figure out that biting you equals no playing with you.
If the biting hasn't stopped go to puppy classes they are great to help identify the problems you are having, I have a new german shepherd pup and going to classes is a god send. Hope this helps
to potty train your puppy you have to take him/her outside up to seven times a day to reduce accidents. potty mats are only for their first few months of age but it doesn't mean you can't take the dog out when ever you get a chance. the more times you take the dog out the better.
when puppies are young and they continue to chew on you... in easier cases you can make a high pitched sound and they might back off if not you can try laying them down on their side next to the item they chew and say NO. or you could just leave the room for about 30 seconds and close the door behind you.
for the excessive chewing on things you can put the cords away or hide them really well and give her more chew toys or kongs to chew on. give her/him plenty of exercise to reduce energy
Cuteness is blinding me :)
