I have thought of that and even more than night vision I have learned how to reduce my heat sig by up to 90%. I only hear helo trafic in the day light and its all ben military mostly the large double blade transports and some (black) Black hawk helocopters all on there way to New Mexico. Have also seen medium bombers refuleing over head were at 6000 feet they had to be at 7500 to 8000 max they looked really close. There is nothing out here but few hundred all on board...

Go to your local truck stop and get a road carriers atlas. Trucking lanes will be marked, these are the areas that should be avoided when possible if you need to leave your town or state. With the right vehical, and a compass you can travel on dirt roads and two lanes just about anywhere. No need for GPS use a MAP and a COMPASS.
