I saw this on the Discovery Channel. The Goalie's trainer was a Vietnam war veteran who knew how to stop the bleeding by pinching the jugular artery. It also said that when the guy in Black and Gold (the Bruin) fell, his skate caught the goalie's throat and he started to bleed like shit. :)
