i seriously can not believe that this is the only damed katydids song i could find on you tube.....they are a great band and somebody needs to submit some vids..like heavy wether trafic or read my lips/lights out ...or the bo whos never found....hell..theres more but somebody please post them!!!!
@dasenuff I KNOW! There's another "live" video of an acoustic performance of Shangri-La that's pretty great. Otherwise...nothing. I used to have this on cassette tape, but it's lost or stolen.
The track's called 'Lights Out (Read My Lips)' and is on the first album. Try searching 'Lights Out' and you may find it, but I must say that their stuff is hard to find, especially as there is now another band (with no connection) recording under the same name.
WMG is removing all the other songs, f*ckers!! as if they are going to get any more money from this. Share Share!! that's the future, short sighted bastards!
Horses for courses. I personally like this track better than TBWNF because of its gauzy, droney, narcotic vibe. I'm glad the Katydids' music is so varied. NME=Enemy!
Mmmm. A remix, if I'm not mistaken. I rather like the ethereal quality of the original but this is okay. The NME (?) review of 'Shangri-la' said that such tracks lacked the drive of 'The Boy Who's Never Found'. Katydids misunderstood, methinks!
Incroyable! Nothing better than discovering a brand-new (to me) Katydids moment! Excellent concept -- sure takes me back to my own trekking about France. I think Mary and I were on that same carousel in 2001!
Brings back memories. Different from the album, but still nice.

thanks for that - as soon as I read that I remembered the full title. Found the single on amazon - doesn't seem to be on youtube though.

Cool, I bought this 45 in Ireland in 1992 because I liked the jacket photo. Turns out I also really liked the song.
