I went from Avid to FCP, AVID doesn't shit all over FCP! Both programs have their own advantages. But we will see what FCP 6 will do next year!

It's alright for home use. But I'm a professional editor and it does my nut in. Very clunky, doesn't feel stable and some simple A-B functions take you A-Z-Y-X etc... Avid shits all ocver FCP, beleive.

FCP is only 1,300 or somewhere around there but I gurentee it's well worth it!I got that 100$ sony video editing software and it sucks cause I have to do shit beyond the program to make good video.Im deffinitly getting this program.

The actual video elements from teh movies, commercials and music videos were edited using FCP, the animation was composited with Shake.

I have been told that this video was composited in Shake, which is now marked down to an affordable $500. Learning Shake, however, is another matter. I have a lot of respect for anyone that can do a really ggod job at it. It seems like all the real experts were self taught, but for regular IQ people a little training is in order.
