  • Great video and explanation! Thanks a lot, will have to try it :)

The only thing that worries me is that ... isn't it gonna be toxic to wear, after you have applied bleach to it? Do you know anything about that? Would be interesting to know.

    Thanks!

  • Very nice... I don't have so much artistic skill to make my own stencils, but i can surely use found objects to try this technique! Thanks for sharing! I am SOOO happy that I checked you out!

  • I am so going to try this! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Thank You 02saan for your comment, It does not work with white color, its actually reverse (discharge) it only works with Dark Colors, and 100% cotton, the technique works taking out (discharging) the original dye of the shirt, please check out the (more info) part of the video to get more details, into how to create this kind of work.

  • @arjeiemsi ok thanks :)

  • what color will it be if i use a white t-shirt?

  • Thank You xXBronzedBalletXx

    for your comment!

  • You're amazing.

  • Thank You cookie12386 for your comment,

I make them myself, most of them are from my artwork, characters from my paintings, others are photographs I convert into stencils, and I cut them by hand with an x-acto knife, recently I bought a stencil burner which makes creating stencils a lot easier and faster.

  • I was just wondering, where do you get all your stencils?

  • Thank you Krushpants for your comment, in the part of the more info of the video you will see a more detail description of what I use, if English is not you first language you can use google translator or any other translator program to translate to your language, Spanish or anything else, there is also additional information on the comments part, good luck with making your own t-shirts, its very fun just remember to use gloves!

  • waw man really nice great work , i'm gonna try and make my own shirt

what did u spray the shirt with ? some kind of clorox? what brand do you recommend?

  • Thank you whiner00 for your comment,

no personally I have not work with any bleach thickener, can you elaborte a bit more into what the bleach thickener could do... I guess it will be good if you wanted to use brushes to apply the bleach (remember to use good quality natural fibers brushes, because the artificial fibers tend to dissolve (gets destroyed by the bleach)

I'm trying to evolve from this technique to something that I can replicate, (discharge Silkscreen printing)

  • have done any work with the bleach thickener?

  • Thank you SneakerFreaker90 for your comment,

it's a mix of 50% Bleach and 50% Water... after you get the image you can rinse the shirts in a container with Water and Vinegar for a couple of hours (2-4 hours) to stop the reaction of the bleach.

then I wash the shirts as if I'm doing regular laundry with detergent to eliminate the odor of the bleach and vinegar, then I dry them in a dryer to eliminate further shrinkage. (pre-shrunk)

  • did you spray bleach on it???

  • Thank you SkateLikeNoTommoro for your comment,
