  • at first , i thought this song was in genuine emotion towards the loss that huuricane katrina (or the lack of government aid) did to lose the culture that was once new orleans. How so many non-white lost everything. Their HOMES. for real. great song. when i put in to context. but now.... this should not be a festive song. At least when i first heard it. ... i don't know anymore.

  • @smellyfooty: I think this song was written years before the hurricane.

  • @gosjke 2004

  • @smellyfooty see thats what i dont get...you take a song and try to make it a political issue...this song clearly has absolutely nothing to do with hurricane katrina or anything like that it

  • @smellyfooty its not about hurricane katrina, this song was released in 2004

  • @willmilano Yes it was. I remember that year because it was the year my dad passed away. I heard this song for the first time as I was flying home from Korea for his funeral. I bought the CD and to this day it's the one song that my uncles and I sing when we go visits my dad's grave! It's definitely NOT a political song :)

  • SOUL!!!!!!

  • Man, I swear I watch this everyday!

  • I saw MArc Brouassard as an opening act for Bonnie Raitt. My husband and I were totally blown away by this guy. He is so awesome. If you ever have the chance to go to one of his shows do yourself a favor!!

  • I really love this song but it suffers from the lack of percussion. This is an excellent recording tho, great sound - thanks

  • Geniaal!
