@imogengraceleyshon They do. They homeschool so they do everything at home, but they also take advantage of every opportunity to learn something new and go somewhere historical. In other words, they learn everywhere they go :) Kind of different I understand but it works for a lot of kids.

I love how Jim Bob and Michelle go all out for their kids' birthdays, not by spoiling them with lavish presents and expensive parties, but just setting aside the day to do what the child wants to do. Joy wanted to go out for pizza, rock climbing and laser tagging, so they all went out as a family and just had fun. Joy is a cutie; she's growing up fast, but part of her is still a shy little girl. I love Cousin Amy too. She's great with the little ones, and kids don't lie. They clearly love her.

i have no problem with what the duggar girls decide they want to wear, but i do think with the parents raising them to not question authority, they would have a hard time actually bucking the system, so to speak. the problem i have is that the duggar parents selfishly keep having more babies and the responsibility for those kids falls on the older girls, just like most of the work in the house does. it is unfair to those girls.

The girls in the Duggar family just choose to only wear skirts, because it's more femanine and modesst. I only really wear skirts, too, because I totally agree with them. It's more modest, and it would be nice if you didn't call it stupid, because it can be offending to a lot of people.

personally, i think they are a very sweet and kind family. although i find their beliefs quite sexist . those poor girls are only expected to make babies and cook for their husbands, i really hope they pursue a further education and do what THEY want

@caitlin00149 I'm not sure their beliefs are sexist, maybe they have some gender roles they'd like their children to fulfill- as in girls wear skirts and boys wear pants, but they talk about girls building forts, and the girls are rock climbing. Plus, they all the girls have career aspirations. Maybe email them and ask them about it.

Gosh, this poor girl wasn't even sure how many younger brothers she has. I'm sorry but there's no way the kids get the attention they need in this family. I mean, when you have so many children, you just don't have time to take care of the babies, play with the younger kids, help the middle ones with homework and talk to the oldest about their growing-up problems.

They have worn skirts their whole life so that's what the like to wear, but Jim Bob in several episodes have mentioned they don't have too and so has Michelle
