  • Que no panda el cúnico!!!

  • A peerless influence for such artists as Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, etc.

  • o_O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the suit he's wearing! He kinda looks like Dr. Evil / Mini Me!

  • thats the guy that did the theme song for the parade no way

  • @johndee913 Hello Johndee913. You are totally incorrect. The song, Boroque Hoedown was composed by Perrey and Kingsley. They did not even know that their song was being used by Disney for the Main Street Electrical Light Parade until one night that Perrey was at Disneyland when he noticed that the song being played throughout the MSELP was Boroque Hoedown. For chance that you dont believe me, Disney now gives him and Kingsley credit for it. I worked for Disney for 19 years. Check it out!!

  • del chavo del ocho

  • No it's not. Disney bought the rights to it. the song's from 1963....the parade didn't happen until 1974

  • @ChaosDemonwolf 1972 actually although Disney's use of it actually began in '71 when it was used for roughly 6 1/2 years as the first soundtrack to Walt Disney World's Electrical Water Pageant

  • Great song, so many memories!

  • Actually El Chapulin Colorado is the character that inspired the Bee Guy from The Simpsons based on a silly latin superhero who all people he tries to help finish helping him instead, silly stories but acting is funny. So this theme was used for so many years at the end credits from the tv show, actually I saw it again recently on Cartoon Network at its late night Tv shows.

  • aAAAAAAwwww GROOOSSSO!!!!!

  • I wish they would ask him to make the music for the current Electrical Parade. No one masters that song like he does.

  • EL CHAPULIN !!!

  • Que dija 0:00

  • 0:02 an now Chapulin colorado!!!....algo asi se le entendio.

  • @susejjt And now, Baroque Hoedown!

  • @Droamen Lol I understood what he was saying, is just that this is the opening song or theme song for El Chapulin Colorado.

  • @susejjt Ok :). sorry, where are you from? I dont know why so many people know about the existense of El chapulin

  • @Droamen Lol from Mexico!!!

  • Only playback?----------horrible

  • I love this guy ! great song!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

  • What's he got there at the end? Topoi Gigot?

  • Great except for a bit too much pizzicato.

  • exelente nunca me olvidare de esa cancion

  • Very creative!!! I love it. Wonder why i haven't heard of it before? O well, it's quite something at any rate - fun stuff.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid Probably because you haven't seen the Disney Electrical parade before, or the Water Pageant at Disney World.

  • You can't forget that this song was a Perrey-Kingsley song. Gershon Kingsley also is credited with this song.

You all know Kingsley from that Popcorn song.

  • A legend!

  • Orale... NO CONTABAN CON MI ASTUCIA... JAJAJAJAJA...

  • this guy should join the band primus ... if he still alive i say

  • I can just see people closing their eyes & clapping their hands to this song and see the main street electrical parade when they were younger

Thank you Jean-Jacques Perrey you made millions of children happy with this wonderful song

  • lo sospeché desde un principio¡¡¡¡¡

  • Dude... this is the guy who WROTE the Disney light parade melody, for those don't know!

  • @Yoshi5020 Well This song came first, and disney asked him to work with them in the main street electrical parade... there are a few differences between both tracks...

  • @SpeeBeta1 Actually, Disney licensed it from the publisher. Perrey was unaware of the use until he visited one of the parks, but was pleasantly surprised to see what the House of Mouse did with it.

  • @IPAddressConflict another interesting fact: Jack Wagner originally negotiated a deal for unlimited use of the song dfor something like $900 but Disney's lawyers wern't happy that he did that so they struck a new deal only they ended having to pay 10 x's the amount Jack got

  • Im still trying to like this melody,. but i still think the spectromagic theme and fantillusion is beter,..

  • without the mainstreet electrical parade - there would be no spectro

  • Thats true, but what i mean was that musically the spectromagic and fantillusion themes are better musically..

the Music for the electrical parade is kind of anoying,. But as you said it was the first one,and with out it , there would probably not be the other ones

  • I always have thought that this piece fits the whole "electrical" aspect better than the Spectromagic tune(s). For Disney, an orchestral piece in a parade is kind of... well, it's kind of typical for them. I think this song was a good change for them. (:

  • I found you here, aaaaaaaaaaaahh!! for the records, I didn't give you the thumbs down.. (even that I should've heheh)

anyways, I had sent you some links of this song but I see that you've already found it.

  • This song is awesooooooooooooomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeE!!!

  • argh,.. I give UP!! hahahahah JK

  • This guy is the shit.

    :)

  • 2:14

  • EL CHAPULIN COLORADO

  • Looks pre-recorded to me. Is he playing an mp3 file?

  • No, what he is doing is playing a set of sounds and then turning that in to a loop. The loop will continue nonstop until he changes it. He then adds another layer of sounds on top. This will continue until he get's the melody that he is looking for. For example, watch at 2:05. He will pay the melody once and it will repeat. He is using foot controls to start and stop loops.

  • the music is wonderful I love the music and the parade when I saw it it began the magic for me

  • Oh putain, c'est Jean-Jacques!!

J'ais vu ton album sur eMusic!!

  • shindig

  • buena canción

  • me recuerda al chavo del 8

  • no contaban com mi astucia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love this song! Never been to the Disneyland Electrical Parade but if I go and hear this song I'll be like "Hey didn't know El Chapulin Colorado moved to Disneyland?"..lol

  • well I know he wrote it I just thought maybe he might have pre-programmed some of the harder sections in before hand

  • Woah, I just realized that he played the song under the same tune used in the Electrical Parade than in the original!

  • Yep, Baroque Hoedown was the theme song.

  • Is he actually playing that???

  • Disneydanny he certainly is!!!! he wrote it!!

  • :) i love that song :D

  • That was AWESOME!!! :)

  • chanfle. Si! Que recuerdos

  • I would of loved to Have been there to see/hear this.

  • Surely one of the greatest melodies ever created! One of my favorites from my childhood memories of first seeing the Electrical Parade, it just never gets old!

  • I know exactly what you mean.

  • . . can i be the only one who FiRST heard the totally-moog break near-the-end on The Beatles Xmas `68 ?? I've luved everything since, but that was initial exposure___the FaBs were into it when it was new !

  • Oh, wow. I've never heard about that. Can you give a little more details about it? I'd love to be educated.

  • I think I was the second. You're quite right. The disc was put together by the late brilliant Kenny Everett and he would have been the one who put that bit of JJP in. Kenny was always playing JJP albums on his radio show. That was how I also became a big fan.

  • cool !

Since my orig. comment 9 months ago , I've delved deeper into "Unreleased Beatley" type books & learned more on how Kenny Everett was key to the assemblage & editing of the Fab Xmas items... so there !

Even to many who grew up thru them times, it would sound like a zippy little music-bumper from Laugh-In or such. H*ll !, I didn't know from P&K till the 80's !! 

  • I am a huge fan of Perrey and Kingsley, thanks to this song and the Main Street Electrical Parade!

  • Woah, that's pretty cool!

  • Wonderful! I thought he was dead! The reporter from OCN, that covered the last performance of The Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland, said that him and Gershon Kingsley had passed away. Wow! Could you tell me what he said at the end? It was hard to understand him. Something in reference to the parade and Disneyland.

  • Gershon Kingsley is the one who is dead, and he was the one who did all the interviews. Perrey was the media shy one, but after Kingsley's death, he has to do all the interviews.

  • I see. I wonder why those people got the story twisted like that. It's kinda mean to have people thinking that someone is dead when they're not.

  • well, his site has a link to send him a message, & Jonathon Edwards doesn't seem to be involved....check your facts !

  • why isn't that under "Geshon's dead " ?...anyway, he ain't !

  • Neither of them are dead. Jean-Jacques Perrey just released a new album over on iTunes, and Gershon Kingsley is still making electrosynthamagnetical music to this day! :)

  • How come the reporter from OCN said that "the two gentlemen who wrote the song are now deceased?" That was said during the live broadcast of the final Electrical Parade at Disneyland. I have the DVD.

  • disney just needed an excuse to stop paying royalties, so they claimed that they were deceased.

  • @Littlescienceguy Well, they've both outlived OCN, that's for sure.

  • Excellent point! Haha!
