On the first ever wrestling album this song was indeed Windham and Rotundo's and then Hulk used it after. I remember Piper one time in Piper's pit said (when Orndorff and Hogan fought over the song) he has the album and he knows who the song really belongs to. ( a little shot at them both i guess)

This is rare for 2 reasons...1) They are coming out to "Real American" and not "Born In The USA" because it was penned for them on "The Wrestling Album" in 1985. 2) This was the last televised match to show Windham and Rotundo as a team; when Windham left for NWA Florida, Rotundo teamed w/Danny Spivey and went back to using "Born In The USA"...of course we all know who wound up using "Real American".

FYI Windham got sick of the travel schedule and lack of days off. He thought he and Mike were leaving together to work in Japan. Barry keft Mike returned. Vince tried to replace Barry with Danny Spivey hoping no one would notice.

This actually works better with Windham and Rotundo than it did Hogan. I love the pop they get as well.

I always found it weird how Windham and Rotundo wrestled this one match after losing the titles and then Windham was never seen or heard from again
