Songs From the Rain was such a fantastic album. For that piece of work alone H.H.F. deserved such greater recognition than they've ever received. There's no justice in the music business...
Saw them perform this on the Letterman a long time ago. Such a timeless song. 50 years from now those of us here still alive will get tears in our eyes when we hear it.
I was in jail in 1993, drugged out as low as can be and someone gave me the disque songs from te rain...
with a strong heroin withdrawel ,kicking off the needle and I swear that this cd made me giving up the drugs and dealing. made me a better person...yes, there are answers in the music!! a thing of beauty is my favorite..
Thnx for sharing 1072maan, loving it! takes me away in an emotional ride
Respect. Grass, acid, mushrooms, smack, crack, coke, mdna, e's, speed, dmt. Its a long road but music as kept me alive. the biggest comes downs i have had have been women, they have nearly killed me at least 3 times, music carried me through every time. "the devil laughed the day the music died" love to all you beautiful people, never ever give up:)
cool! Music has power and spirit, doesn't it? 1993 was a very hard and painful year for me, too, but this song was one of several that gave me life again. Thank God!
Cracking track! I came upon it on an episode of Lovejoy, in which the Hot House Flowers starred.

@AAMinistry I knew I could not be the only person to appreciate the blending of Irish folksy rock and the world of antiques.

Great song, even after all those years, wish they had a video of this song.
Too bad that they did not make the breaktrough all over the world! Not many people in the Netherlands heard of them.
These guys should be on top off the world!

Brilliant song! This was the one that turned me on to this band in the 80s. I saw them several years ago in San Francisco, and they were great.

Man, this was a great album! Hothouse Flowers was supposed to breakthrough in the U.S....
Most of mainstream America just don't know what they're missing!
