Let me see if I can understand - bringing a priest to "justice" is letting the organization that has refused to prosecute abusers "handle" the situation so that he can abuse others. After doing research into this, just a few years ago, Troy was saying that Prosser didn't do his job - and he insisted that Prosser not be sitting on any panel that dealt with child molestation. It's great that the next guy that took over Prosser's job actually instructed detectives to invesigate & they convicted the priest who is now in prison - sad that Prosser didn't go further with this when he had the chance - other kids would not have been molested if Prosser would have pursued it harder.

She has adhered throughout the campaign to even-handedness and non-partisanship and has exhibited both promising judicial temperament and good grace even in the heat of a fierce campaign.
Along with that failing has come a disturbing distemper and lack of civility that does not bode well for the High Court in the face of demands that are sure to be placed on it in these times of great political and legal volatility.

This ad is bull, when he was first abused he came out and stated prosser didn't help him and his brother now hes changing his statement. Sound like someone got to him with a deal. The priest that abused him went on to abuse others before he was caught because prosser didn't go after him right away.
@winder52 Not true. he was a child. Prosser didn't want to try the case for lack of evidence. Later when there was more evidence he prosecuted and sent the priest to jail. Klop used bad judgment in not asking them to remove the ad. Therefore she will make a bad judge.

There was a time when I believed Prosser was the less partisan of the two candidates. After seeing how he carried himself during a debate and seeing who he has in his corner I can only conclude that, on the contrary, he is a complete partisan, fully interested in making manifest the policy of such individuals as Walker, Palin, and the Koch brothers. The defection of a moderate former governor from his campaign reinforces this point. We can ill afford to have such people in the court.
Even Patrick Lucey (honorary co-chair of the Prosser campaign) couldn't stand to be associated with Prosser any more. He said Prosser is too partisan and has an alarming temper. Lucey now supports Kloppenburg. On April 6th, we'll be reading "Kloppenburg Wins in Landslide!" on every paper in Wisconsin.

I fail to see how drawing them directly into the spotlight by naming them and putting them in a damned add is less invasive and offensive than simply making reference to the case that Prosser worked without putting the victims in center stage.
At least ads like this typically backfire and generate more support for the opposition.

After doing research into this, just a few years ago, Troy was saying that Prosser didn't do his job - and he insisted that Prosser not be sitting on any panel that dealt with child molestation. It's great that the next guy that took over Prosser's job actually instructed detectives to invesigate & they convicted the priest who is now in prison - sad that Prosser didn't go further with this when he had the chance - other kids would not have been molested if Prosser would have pursued it harder.

There was a time when I believed Prosser was the less partisan of the two candidates. After seeing how he carried himself during a debate and seeing who he has in his corner I can only conclude that, on the contrary, he is a complete partisan, fully interested in making manifest the policy of such individuals as Walker, Palin, and the Koch brothers. The defection of a moderate former governor from his campaign reinforces this point. We can ill afford to have such people in the court.

@ztechdesign That is my point. At the time of this trial she was an attorney, not a judge. The ads are saying that "she put an 80 year old man in jail." An attorney can't do that, so the ad is very disingenuous. He was given ample time to plant the grass. He refused. He finally agreed to pay someone else to plant it which was done. He then refused (multiple times) to pay for that service. He deserved a few days in the clink. Kloppenburg for Supreme Court! Vote Kloppenburg on April 5th.

Typical Teabagger propaganda. The ad this guy is referring to IS NOT KLOPPENBURG'S AD! It was created and paid for by a third-party group completely without Kloppenburg's knowledge or approval. She has no ability to stop it. She did the right thing by simply distancing herself from it and recognizing the 1st amendment rights of the group that created it. Vote Kloppenburg on April 5th!

@GodlessAndHappy1 If Kloppenburg insisted they pull the ad, they would. Instead she showed how she will do anything to get elected. I already know of several people who were going to vote for her but now are not going to. They want a judge who has ethics first and foremost.

@GodlessAndHappy1 She may not have the power to stop that ad, but she has EVERY power to denounce the ad (at the request of the victims, especially) - THAT would be the right thing to do. THAT would demonstrate strong moral character. THAT would demonstrate unbiased free-thinking. THAT would be well within her 1st amendment rights. THAT would send a message that it's not OK to use sexual abuse victims as political pawns against their will. May God have mercy on your soul.

@MrH2Opro Those victims were never identified in the original ad. They chose to come out and identify themselves, probably because Prosser's campaign paid them to. There are currently third-party ads that lie about Kloppenburg and I don't see Prosser denouncing them. If you base your vote on these ads, then you are a fool.
And tell your god not to worry about my soul. I stopped believing him long ago after I realized my morals were far better than his.
