People who don't understand motor sports often criticize it's fans by saying "They only watch for the crashes". Crashes are an inevitable part of close competition and passion for winning. When a car crashes, the crash demonstrates the commitment of the driver to taking the finish line first, at great risk.
I never want to see any driver hurt, however I do want to watch competitors compete at the leading edge of the "risk vs. reward" envelope. Thats what makes any sport compelling.
It's amazing how often the Pro Mods that run ADRL crash. Steve Evans could have produced an entire volume of "And They Walked Away" with footage from the 2010 Topeka race alone.
lesson learned: if you're not in the groove get off the gas! lol. sucks to see all these great cars be destroyed :/
