  • This is one area I really need to visit. Love that M5 horn on it. The Grandfather of all horns...

  • Probably the nicest-tuned Nathan M-5R24 Ive ever heard

  • Thank for the information about the units at the Portola Museum. I haven't been to Portola since 1985, before the museum as far as I know. My current location, 2,300 miles east means I won't be going anytime soon unfortunately.

  • WOW. Beautiful unit and location. It makes me remember the original CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR. It is a pitty I never rode it but AMTRAK keeps the tradition alive.

  • FAVORITE horn!

  • Awesome, I luve it!

  • Thank you! I thought this unit was a the Portola Museum? Do you remember when this unit was based at the Fremont CA yard? It would be nice if they could find an oversize single headlight to put atop the high short hood like the one it had in the 1970's. It gave it a unique look.

  • @manthony1956 Yes it was. And it still is.

  • @manthony1956: Yeah, #2001 is at the Portola Museum. Their GP7 #707 still has that oversize single headlight, also at the Museum and in running condition.

  • Neat video! Good catch.........Mike

  • The Feather River Canyon sure is beautiful especially when it's got a nice unit to shoot.

  • How neat to see a old GP20 travel alone

  • That is a great looking GP20!

  • Great to see a WP unit on it's home rails. Too bad UP didn't let them pull some freight cars along.

  • Awesome video! I like the WP paint scheme!

  • Very nice video. The scenes really are great and the Feather River Canyon is very scenic.
