  • Does anyone know other good guitarist ?

  • @niikkoo07 Check out Guthrie Govan :)

  • P e r f e c t . . .

  • This guy needs a band. This would make a solid song with some lyrics on the side and mad solos everywhere in between. It kind of reminds me of Fleetwood Mac at some parts, I can hear Stevie Nicks in the mix :P

    - Jesse

  • @TheChimneySwifts He was playing in a band called Merzy (Odense DK) They rocked the early 90'ies way. Bikerband. He has turned intellectual. Good playing thoug.

  • @Matingposition That's not to say that intellectuals can't have bands ;)

  • reminds me of a young eric johnson. good stuff.

  • He looks like Jimmy Wahlsteen

  • A candy rat guitarist without an acoustic guitar...... BLASPHEMEY!!!! (but its cool cause he's awesome)

  • Perfect waves, perfect technique

  • Awesome. Please check my page if you like instrumental guitar! :)

  • what's the pickups name? did you use any effect's?

  • @ciapekbmxmen i believe that's a fender stratocaster might be a FatStrat or Americana. and those look to be stock DH1 single humbucker pickups. as far as effects, their might be a little delay, but that's it. hes playing on his mid/bridge pickups on a clean channel.

  • Unbelievably talented this guy

  • UUUH! Nearly 1.000.000 views! Godt gået Steffen!

  • This video is amazing! Can't wait hear your new album 2012.

  • 95 are idiots

  • I HEAR THE EJ INFLUENCE...NICE JOB!!

  • Much better lead tone than in the other videos ...

  • @CryingLostSoul yea, do you know the model name of this guitar?

  • Oh dear,no words.....fantastic control.

  • I've listened to this video at least a dozen times and it blows me away every time.

  • Bass says: "Here come old flattop, he come grooving up slowly..."

  • I find this easy & enjoyable to masturbate to.

  • I think Satriani, and Vai would be impressed..

  • @Reflex19841 I think vai and satriani are eating their fingernails by now.

  • Freaking Dopeness!

  • Absolutely an amazing guitarist.

  • this beat reminds me of Come Together by The Beatles :)

  • EPIC and sexy tone and playing..AIGHT

  • He kinda looks like Hammond from Top Gear

  • Nice stuff.

  • he would be cooler if he put his tabs online for other people to play.

  • @rrrtbds12223 Tabs are on candyrat.com $10, but very accurate

  • @RockOfTheAges777 yeah i saw that... i dont really want to play hes songs that bad.

  • What's crazy is that what he's playing isn't all as complex as it seems (well to certain people I guess). But it's the way he puts it all together and makes all of these licks into an awesome piece of music.

  • Nice and melody guitar , I like , Thanks .

  • Amazing!

  • Very nice playing.

  • Very good!!

  • LOL, 95 persons who dont know what means GOOD MUSIC!. Awesome!

  • Very...very....very well written material. I'm diggin' this shit!!!

  • why AALWAYS on the bridge..

would like to have some softer sounds in that..

  • @TimoTeuchtmann He switches to the neck pick-up at 4.10 so good luck with that argument.

  • DENMARK !!!!

  • Absolutely one of the greatest shreds ever recorded....awesome.

  • This sounds really good, it's not hard because of it's technicality, it's hard because he "feels" it. Really well done from this dude!

  • What is this guy doing playing to a metronome and the rest of that fake music? This guy is way too talented to be wasting his time playing this kind of music. He needs to be with a full on band with a sing and the rest of the mix. Waste of talent in my opinion. Esta malgastando su talento por no estar tocando con una banda de verdad.

  • @MyMaestro7 if he were to go be in a band he wouldn't be able to be the centre of attention :)

  • @Made4EvilUsed4Good Of cause he would!

  • @MyMaestro7 Metronomes are a great tool to use for anything done with music. <

  • I would do almost anything for a tab or a lesson on youtube! PLEASE :)

  • spent 2 minutes trying to figure out what the hell was happening where the guitar is sitting on his leg. then i realized it was his shadow -.- fuck im dumb

  • This guy.... holy wow! I dunno whether to be jealous and leave it at that or break all his fingers! Lol

  • Very proud of being Danish...

  • this guy reminds me of richard hammond

  • 95 people tried to download the video

  • very, very good playing and a trememdious sense of music.....wow...:-) Outstand

    ing...!

  • I love how catchy the song is. I love how gets into the song. Candyrat has the best artists. <3

  • cheater!!!..photoshop!!! *haters gonna hate* :(((

  • wow

  • That guitar looks too big for him haha

  • fenders been dominant in blues/funk/rock music for a long time because they make quality instruments that cater to a similar but varied styles of playing. and john mayers a great musician, anyone who says otherwise doesnt have their facts straight.

  • 3:52 - 4:00 That lick blows my mind every time!

  • @GuitarGeek469 It's freakin' gorgeous!

  • it's toki lol

  • I've put together quite a nice rhythm piece for this, but copywrite being what it is

  • i love how the way i can feel waves just slowly start to rise and decline in the song. This is what true music songs like. 10/10

  • The bass line sounds a little bit like the Beatles "Come Together". Nice guitar style though, i like it.

  • @Vinci336 it really does haha, thats funny, its a great bass line though

  • @aspnhl7 ....Steffen Schackinger is actually a very good guitarist, listen to "City Lights" you might like it....Practice, practice your bass and we will see you on American Idol, maybe. LOL.

  • @Vinci336 he's a brilliant guitarist, and is very creative with what he does. haha, ive been practicin and playin for about 3 years now lolz, lookin for a band! lolz XD

  • @aspnhl7 .....Nice, are you any good? I saw a video on your channel of a young man playing bass to a record, reminded me of myself, only i played an acoustic nylon string classical guitar. Tried picking lead to everything i listened to.

  • @Vinci336 haha, I think I'm alright at it, personally there's a self concious thing with me that keeps me back. I do my best though lolz. My brother actually plays an acoustic just like that, but I'm not sure how much time he has to learn it the way he probably wants to lolz.

  • @aspnhl7 .....Your brother needs to commit if he wants to be great. just gotta love it......As for you, that self-conscious thing is called shyness, or stage fright, or a lack of self-confidence. You are probably an introverted person who needs to conquer his fears. .... Sorry about the whole psycho-therapy thing.....Maybe take some bass playing lessons to build some confidence.

  • @Vinci336 Haha, I'm sure he would commit if he had the time, he's in the Marines, so ya know...and i totally realize that thats wat it is, its just a matter of playing in front of people more, after that I'm sure I'd be fine lolz XD

  • @aspnhl7 ....OK then, kool..!

  • Chuck Norris once had a guitar battle with this man....He doesn't like to talk about it.

  • @BlodOgTorden Also, it seems he must have created 95 accounts to dislike this video, LOL.

  • superb..................

  • jep guys... he's from denmark.... what else!

  • i quit guitar now

  • EPIC PLAYING EPIC SOUND !!!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

    RESPECT FROM HELLAS!!!

  • 0:47 - Nice vibrato! I like this.

  • I hate this guy... Because I ran out of music by him to listen too D:

  • solo is incredible

  • your playing is amazing!!!!

  • This is why i love candyrat records, pure awesomeness from the guitar in all its majesticness, from acoustic to electric, simply amazing and appealing.

  • super...:)

  • Your music is a great inspiration to my creative mind.

  • TOO SHORT !! Damn !

  • As long as you you dont play an ibanez - toy guitars.....

  • @ShadyCrux Ibanez make beautiful guitars, I would take one above anything else.

  • @flobtob unless you're an awesome jazz guitarist why bother w ibanez? Maybe you're one of those pussy, tone-deaf shredders. Keep yer ibanez away from me there Herman Li!

  • @ShadyCrux have to disagree with you there, although Ibanez make alot of lower range metal guitars they do have some fantastic guitars such as Steve Vai's Jem guitars and the JS series.

  • @JensenASJ Not to mention the PG-models, adore the tone in those beautiful mf-s.

  • @JensenASJ although they make a couple high end guitars, I still find them not to my liking. I'll stick w my gibsons, fenders, and prs' thanks. Why guitarists like Satch, Vai, and Paul Gilbert actually endorse them is beyond me. Why?

  • @ShadyCrux after hearing what satch does on his ib why wouldn't he endorse them. the bottom line is ib pays good money for satch and others endorsement- but we should remember satch's guitar is specially made for him. you wont find that guitar hanging on the wall at the music store. ive heard other guitarists complain of lower quality from fender and gibson now.... so how bout them texas rangers

  • @ShadyCrux Just because Ibanez make popular metal guitars doesn't mean they make poor instruments, nor does it mean everybody who plays one is a "pussy, tone-deaf shredder". Beautiful music is made on them everyday by fantastic musicians, they have wonderful tone and some of the most comfortable necks ever made (Down to preference obviously). Yes, it's a shame wannabe MAB's use Ibanez alot of the time, but complain about them, not their instruments.

  • Please Mr Schackinger, 4712 people want to hear more of your brilliant music!

  • Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Goooooooood Man !! I like to bite that Strat Beautifull

  • Lets get this to 1 Million views...

There are already probably 100,000 views from me :)

  • I'm a Gibson fan but 3.06 starts one of the best riffs I've ever heard played on a Fender.

  • @TW47B There's a reason he's playing on a Fender, bub.

  • @i1killed2god3 You might be right depends on what you grew up with, rock/soul, Fender/Gibson, each has it's plus points. Having said that, I keep listening to this guy play Electicguitartistry and coming up with the thought that it might be the best guitar solo track I've ever heard. And that's praise from a Gibson player. We could debate the question of Fender Vs Gibson all day, however there's one thing for sure, this guy is so go he could probably make six elastic bands sound good.

  • @TW47B but he plays a Godin in Electricguitartistry (._.')

  • @TW47B There is no "gibson player" or "fender player". You are putting Fender and Gibson as if they were races that you choose. What is true is that some people like to play on different types of instrument. No one has nothing against other brands/instruments.

  • @TW47B

You are a really big noob

  • I absolutely LOVE this piece!!! Great little melody for the main riff..and just enough tasty and soulful soloing and interplay between that great melody. This was just an absolute pleasure to listen to. 1000 stars!!!!!!!!

  • the 89 people who voted down on this song is because they tried to play it but its too hard :D

  • @krist1an1337 and they gave up :(

  • @krist1an1337 lol - I clicked "Like" when I saw this first time, but then I tried to play it then I was tempted to click Dislike...

  • @isayah85 That's exacly what im talkin' about, Willis.

  • Very impressive. Tasty with a lot of different influences in evidence. Does anyone know if Steffen ever tours in the U.S.?

  • i have 37n thumbs up for my comment on the song CITY LIGHTS i dont care i put that comment first guyss lol

  • classic youtube baby bickering... John Mayer is a juggernaut. Schackmaster is a Legend. But, you can't compare the two, one being better than the other. Grow up. I love both those musicians(except pop Mayer) and you can't deny that Mayer has some amazing songs, solos, and melodies. Just to play and sing(however you feel about his voice)as well as he does(especially live) is really impressive and deserves the respect you would undoubtedly give Mr. Schackinger. (WHOS A MOTHER F*CKING JUGGERNAUT!!

  • Incredible! Like a cross between eric johnson and gary hoey!! But it is definitely now my favourite piece of solo guitar work. Fantastic

  • It sucks from 5:18 what a mess

  • @GTPeaceMaker stop copying my comment from city lights i have the copyrights for that comment!!!

  • Eric Johnson, stop crying. You can be like him someday.....

  • @FrakTheGods2011 im not agree Eric is not less than this ,steffen us great but eric is supreme

  • @hijituso That's cool, man. I just said that because he has a lot of similar phrasing and playing style. Wasn't looking to start a thread war.

  • DANISH!

  • By far the best player i've ever seen, perfect timing, incredible tone, remarkable phrasing, extradordinary ear for melodies... The perfect guitar player.

  • John Mayer is a pissy little wanker. This is music.

  • Comment removed

  • sucks john mayer can do the same thing and sing at the same time

  • @georgeseayiv doesnt matter just appreciate his talent

  • @georgeseayiv not really.... john mayer does guitar fills, small licks....... this guy's got a full song going on just with guitar and a shitty background...... and it still sounds great......

  • @georgeseayiv learn how to play man. john mayer is decent at best. steffen is a highly skilled player

  • @999903404 wow i feel your pain... how can anybody think that john mayer is even close to schackinger ... im sorry georgeseaylv .... but you have no musical taste and you probably still wet the bed at night while listenin to the jonas brothers ...

  • @georgeseayiv .... dude ... all i can say to you ... go listen to real music ... john mayer ... that's a phase ... not a musician ... 5 years from now ... nobody will even know john mayer existed ... 2 more years from now ... (meaning 5 years since this video was added) ... i will still know who steffen schackinger is. ... oh and he could never even get close to being as good as a guitarist as schackinger ... ever ... ever ever ever ..... ever .... ever ever ever ever ....ever ever ever ... ever

  • 88 dislikes??? my ears just came. there's literally cum dripping out of my ears. clinical

  • what scales is he using? pentatonic?

  • Here come ol' flat top, he come groovin up slowly

he got joo joo eyeballs, he one holy roller.......

  • I don't know why, but his style reminds me of Mike Oldfield. Anyway, awesome job!

  • @hitmanieves copyright for that comment from city light video

  • @hitmanieves How much of an unoriginal attention whore do you have to be to post something like this? And how bland of a sense of humor do you have to have to thumbs up it even though its top comment on 99% of the videos on youtube? Seriously, people.

  • I like the part from 0:00-5:17

  • sooooo nice

  • Damn man, this is damn good! Going to buy some of your stuff off of candyrat records

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! LOVE IT FROM 00:00 TO 5:17

  • wow!!!!!!!!!

  • Very clean sound...and he's able to jump between styles with such ease, it's really impressive. I like it when he finally lets loose a little at 3:30
