Same for me ; it's amazing how modern it remains. I still remember the images that would pop in my mind as I listened to it while I was a boy. Merci Monsieur Jarre.
If there is a dynamic piece of music from Jean-Michel Jarre, it's this one. Just turn up the volume and it just FILLS the space! JMJ played this one at the Wembley Arena a few years back. Just pure magic!!!!!!!!
I love almost all of Jean Michelle Jarre's tracks...for me it doesn't conjure images of space it actually makes me feel calm...thanks for posting one of his most brilliant one's up! x

Anyone else think that the middle section, especially from about 10:15 onwards sounds like the sort of things you hear when you are tripping your balls off? the voice samples + delay, overlayered with strings sound?
@GekkoKamen That's interesting. I don't do 'trips' anymore, haven't for years in fact, but what you say about spirits and ghosts has spooked me a bit! I once read that when a man takes mushrooms, they are half in the world of spirits! lol!
@neil73 Hi neil! I learned about this music when I was 10 or 11, I'm 40 now. The very first time I heard it, I felt I was surrounded by presences from the after life, especially from 06:20 onwards. That made me change the perspective I had about ghosts and spirits, and I have studied about the subject ever since. What they write about mushrooms and peyote, apparently has to do with some kind of hyper-perception of reality, hasn't it? I thoroughly agree, it's simply a master piece!
@GekkoKamen I know what you mean: that 'ahhh' sound @ 6:24 onwards. It's a little like 10cc's 'Im not in love' in terms of sound for that little part - and that reminds me of higher planes of existence!
@neil73 Yes, I like that expression you wrote -higher planes of existence- that's the way I perceive it when I listen to this. Just a dimension where consciousness is bound-free, and is able to go back and forth in time and thought!
I don't know, when i upload, on the top is writen: "Congratulations! You can now upload videos to the account of more than 15 minutes" I apologize for any mistakes if I did, because I use google translate
@juzioljuznienty People, if you want to put video over 15 minutes, then you at least 30 video needs. That's when the 30 video was uploaded, then you will see "Congratulations, you can upload videos longer than 15 minutes." The author of more than 40 videos. And so me and him had such an opportunity.

shame Jean Michele went commercial. Did not continue what he was doing.
I believe he ran out of ideas like The Future Sound of London in 1995.

I've always wondered why this track was called "1" though there are obviously two very different parts in it. Well, who cares, it's still incredible.

@neil73 I don't relate it to tripping stuff, but to hearing spirits and ghosts though.
